These work well

Something leaked in the bag, causing the print on the bottles to flake off. Luckily the caps are color coded, and between the text left behind and the seller's image I could still identify each one. Comes with instructions which are thorough and clear, I was able to test my mystery gold right away. While the black scratch stone works great for gold, I suspect a white stone would make silver ID easier (telling dark red from brown with a black background is challenging).

Overall this kit works great!!! Gold tests are fast and simple and leaves no doubt. The silver test solution on 925 was a bit iffy for me. The dark red was really hard to see. I tested several pieces at once, and had to repeat the silver test a second time to verify what I was seeing - even on known 925 samples. I then re tested a third time using the 18k gold acid to get blue - this was more conclusive to me for silver.

It seems good but I don't have anything to compare it to. I had a chain I was sure was fake and it tested 10k. I guess it take some familiarization
