This book is not for the faint-hearted. It took concentration to keep up with theever-changing chaos and danger. There was an overwhelming feeling of despairand darkness. The emotional growth of the characters was the hero of the bookfor me. Just when I thought I knew where the storyline was headed, another secretwould drop, sending me into a spin. There were many subtle moments in this storythat captured the depth of emotions of the characters. It was hard to imagine arelationship that started with revenge and hate would evolve into one filled withlove.Poor Vittoria did not know who to trust. She had so much trauma, past and present,but she was strong, spirited, and determined to beat the odds and keep safe. Sheoften teetered on a fine edge between fear, vulnerability, and hope.Amadeo and Bastian were complex and flawed. It was hard to like them, but they didredeem themselves in my eyes, as their instinct to nurture Vittoria took over theirneed to punish her. Would their knowledge of death and human deprivation givethem the edge to keep Vittoria safe? Amadeo and Bastian were complex characters,and I enjoyed getting inside their heads.An excellent and exciting read by this talented author. It ticked all the right boxesin a mafia-themed story with enough hope for a happy ever after.

👑 REVIEW 👑What a conclusion to this duet!! I have loved this author from the very beginning and she gave Vittoria, Bastian and Amadeo the ending or should I say the beginning they deserve. There was the drama the suspense and nitty gritty and raw emotions that all of these characters went through. You felt their pain you felt the tears and the gut wrenching memories. The spice is life these three are raw and the brothers have a filthy mouth that will have you fanning yourself. I could not get enough of them. This story will have you hooked from beginning to end!! A must read duet! You will need to start with Ruined Kingdom.

Of course she had help from the Caballero Brothers.The Second part of this Duet is consuming!!!I couldn't believe how the story unfolded. The things that happened and were revealed had me floored. This is book two in the Ruined Kingdom duet and I loved this story. The characters were absolutely amazing and the story was captivating. It pulled me in from the beginning and never let go. Absolutely recommend it as a must read for sure!!!

I usually love Natasha Knight’s books and I really did like this story it just was a little over the top for me the love triangle. I had a hard time wrapping my head around that which made me drop the ratings a little. I look forward to reading her next story.
