Zyliss Garlic Press Susi 3, Aluminium, Silver, No Need to Peel Garlic Crusher for Crushing Garlic/Garlic Bulbs/Ginger with Integrated Cleaning Tool, Dishwasher Safe

This is a genuinely excellent garlic press and easily the best one I’ve ever used. I originally owned the Susi 3, which is decent, but the Susi 4 is on another level entirely and absolutely worth paying the extra for. What immediately stood out to me is how efficiently it extracts the garlic. Unlike other presses I’ve used (including the Susi 3), this one produces a huge amount of the wet inner pulp and natural garlic oils while leaving behind much of the dry fibrous material. The result is a much stronger, purer and more intense garlic output. I eat raw crushed garlic daily and leave it for around 10 minutes before consuming it, so I notice the difference straight away. With the Susi 4, the garlic strength is honestly unreal compared to any other press I’ve tried. The flavour, aroma and pungency are dramatically stronger, which suggests it’s extracting and activating far more of the sulphur compounds and allicin from the garlic. The engineering on this press is superb: • Extremely powerful crushing action • Smooth and effortless to use • Excellent leverage • Very easy to clean • Produces consistently better extraction than cheaper presses A lot of people seem to buy the Susi 3 because it’s cheaper, but having used both, I’d strongly recommend spending the extra and getting the Susi 4 instead. For anyone serious about garlic, this thing is brilliant.

This press works well and removes the skin in one go but it does require a fair bit of strength to squeeze the garlic through the grid. Unfortunately my wife finds it too difficult to use unless she removes the outer skin and only puts one small clove in at a time in order to reduce the angle she has to squeeze. If you can overcome that then this is an excellent garlic press.

Very easy to use, nice and sturdy.

This gadget is great! No messing with removing the skin, it really does let you just put whole clove in and squeeze through, with just the garlic pulp coming thru the holes. You do have to squeeze quite hard sometimes but the handle is comfortable to hold when pressing. Dropped a star due to the fact that after only 5 uses 2 of the prongs on the little cleaning gadget are bent. This needs to be made stronger. Still very happy with how this performs though & would recommend it to save time.

Just what I was looking for. Perfect for pressing ginger in my tea. Easy to clean with the brush that comes with it. Absolutely love it

Garlic crushers seem to be the item that gets the whackiest and craziest Inventions designed to be the most efficient and cleanest way to crush garlic, but they end up being over-designed and complicated, and end up being a nightmare to clean. This crusher is simple. It easily crushes skin-on garlic (I peel it off beforehand anyway usually) and since it's made of metal it's incredibly durably and sturdy. You can definitely feel quality in this one. The red silicone brush is used to clean the garlic off after the use. I initially thought it was to brush the garlic into the pan but that's not the case. Unfortunately one of the spindles bent after a while so there will always be one hole that can get cleaned through but that's fine. I do find the garlic a little bit difficult to scrape off into the pan, because it's garlic of course. But it does the job and fits neatly into the drawer, which cannot be said for some crushers.

Having read all reviews, positive and negative, I was a bit concerned that I was wasting my money but I am thrilled with my new garlic press!!!! Not only does it work really really well (No need to peel, I put three cloves in and voila, press easy to squeeze, garlic came out easily and only left the empty skins behind - not a load of garlic- in the press), BUT I also found the blue plastic gadget brilliant for cleaning out the empty skins and pushing out any tiny bits of garlic left in the holes. Some reviewers say a press isn't neceessary but to really get the break down of cells required to release all the flavour does require a good bit of mashing, not just fine slicing or to be bashed with the side of a knife blade so I would definitely go ahead and buy one....I NEVER review items as I am a bit lazy but this is so good I had to!!! If it breakes I will report back but so far I love it. And what a good price too - I also looked at one that cost £35 but it got some terrible reviews too so I went with this one and very glad I am too.

Es genial. Llevo 4 años usándolo a menudo y metiéndolo en el lavavajillas, no se ha oxidado, solo ha perdido la capa gris mate exterior en algunos puntos, quedándose ennegrecidos, pero se nota que no es algo que se vaya desprendiendo y te acabes comiendo. El cepillo no está a la altura del producto y cuesta encajarlo en los agujeros para limpiar, además que las cerdas enseguida se tuercen y alguna se me ha roto, ya no lo uso, pero la verdad, ni falta que hace. Si por lo que sea no lo limpio al momento y se seca, lo pongo en un vaso con agua y luego pasándole un estropajo se van todos los restos sin problema. En cuanto a su función, estoy muy contento, la pala de presión distribuye perfectamente la fuerza, no queda nada de la carne del ajo en el depósito, la piel se desprende que da gusto, creo que me va a durar unos cuantos años más por su construcción sólida, por eso después de este producto cada vez que necesito algún utensilio más en la cocina, lo primero que hago es mirar esta marca.
