Not too big and easy to build at an affordable price
Why did you choose this product over others?: Great little sailboat for youngsters to build and paint. Easy to build with parental guidance.

ok as described

Cheap and cheerful
For the price they are fine for a bit of fun. But as actual boats they are a bit too heavy. We tested them on a local stream and ended up having to take the sail off to race them or they flipped over. Still we got entertainment value out of it and a few hours fun

Make wooden boat. Great young children.
You need glue.

These were very easy to make
These were very easy to make. But I couldn't get them to float on water. In the end I used another piece of wood and glued them together like a catamaran, making it more stable, and it now floats. They've not been painted.

Ok but expensive
Expensive for a few bits of wood but kids enjoy iy

Disappointing
Only received enough pieces to make one complete boat. Does not sail/float upright. Boat is too unstable for sail. Easy to build but wood untreated ply so will fall apart in the water if not sealed first

Affordable little boats
Fun little boats the kids can help build and paint and if they leave cuz they were meant for bigger things, you can build more!

These little boat kits were PERFECT for my purpose
These little boat kits were PERFECT for my purpose. I led a Father-Son retreat in which we learned about Jesus and his "fishing buddies", Simon Peter, James, Andrew and John. The boys loved decorating the sails---the dads actually did most of the actual construction, as far as I could tell! But the 7-10 year old boys could have done the whole thing..... I also gave a boat to a woman making a retreat who wanted to let go of her painful past by decorating the boat with various symbols and then letting it "sail" down the river...... I'm not too good with technology, so I hope Amazon can make the boat sit upright! Sr. Madeleine, fcJ
