Interactive Gaming System Active Play Set

I was reluctant to buy this for my kiddos for Christmas after reading the reviews, but thought it would be worth a try. My kids were super excited to put it together, download the app, and create their avatars ((all super easy to complete)). When we tried to start the game, it wouldn't connect to ANY device in our house. We have new Apple tablets, laptop, Kindlefire, Androids, etc, so there is no reason for it to fail to sync for every device. My kids are super bummed, because the app looks really fun and a great way to keep active indoors. It simply just will not sync to ANYTHING, like the majority of reviews had described.

I got a really good price for this so I decided to try it out. The set up was super easy. Once I downloaded the app it paired right to the game. My son enjoys playing all the games. I would say that it needs more games because I could see my son getting bored playing the same ones over again. He’s 4 by the way and enjoys running.

This is a fun exercise toy for the kids. You can use a tablet and download the free app. There is a tablet holder on the set. I purchased ours for only $22 and I would not pay more than that due to the app not quite working with the set as well. The set is sturdy I will give it that.

Pros: Simple setupEasy to useEntertainingCons: Lack of contentI purchased this for my 7 year old as a way to get him to do more exercise while in the house when its cold out. Set up was easy and took less than 10 minutes. A frustrating part about set up though is that the bolts are not labeled and all 3 sizes are so small its hard to tell the difference. You simply have to just try to fit it into the precut holes of the plastic to find the right one.Once set up you download the app onto a kindle or iPad. Note that if you have a Kindle fire kids edition I could not find the app. Once you open the app simply turn on the switch and wait for the runner to bluetooth connect. From here there are three modes of running, tracking field, jungle, and zombies. In each section there is a story mode and a time trial or distance mode. My son finds running from zombies and the jungle the best. The running also incorporates jumping and pressing a button to knock over zombies ect. I thought this was a novel toy to get my son but he didn't want to get off for a while. My 2 year old was trying to run behind him and jump at the same time. The downside is that by the end of the second week my son doesn't want to keep doing the same ones. Expanded content or even a third party app would increase the longevity of this toy and increase the frequency of use.Overall: Its a great toy that my kids love but one that will eventually completely lose its appeal as it doesn't take long to finish the content. I also bought this on sale for $50 and think it was completely work it at that price. 100 is a little steep for such little use.

The whole product relies on the App to work for it to be interesting/as designed. The issue is that you can't get the App to launch even if you do get it downloaded. We have a frozen image of "Jakks Pacific" on one device and can't get it to launch on another device (a laptop). The plastic and metal based product does appear well enough made and the kids have enjoyed holding themselves off the ground on the two side bars. Easier not to buy than to return like we will have to do. Kids are disappointed, which is the worst part of course.Also, for those of you who use Apple products (we had both available), there is no APP option at all. On the plus side, you will avoid the frustration of trying to use or get this product. Sad and not fit for the winter.

We just set ours up today and it is a HIT!! My 6 and 3 year olds absolutely love it and my 1 year old is entertained by watching them play. Super fun. It also pairs with our older iPad instantly with no set up needed.We would really love to see more levels and more games added to really make this a spectacular standout kids gaming platform. Please! :) I hope everyone leaves App Store reviews so that the developers continue to update and develop it!

The app for this device is horrendous! The unit itself works great. We have tried the app now on 6 different devices from Android to Apple, older to newest, and none of them can even get all the way through the tutorial without it freezing and having to start over... and when you have to restart it, if you haven't finished the tutorial you can't move on to try anything else so we can't even get to any of the games. If the app was fixed, this would be awesome and take up a ton of my daughters time.I will be contacting the company to do a return. No use in having a large toy sitting around that can't be used. So disappointed, because this could be seriously awesome with a little help!!!

I'm so disappointed.First thing I notice. The plastic endcap was put on the wrong end. I used a long metal rod to get it to pop off. Was able to switch the end cap with some force.. The metal edges are a little sharp. So I don't recommend anyone trying that without gloves if you have the same issue.Get it set up. Only to realize.. Great my sons phone isn't installing this app. I fig I would give my phone a try. I've never had an issue with any app.Guess what... Not working! Just stays on the loading screen.Why are these machines still being sold.. When the developer hasn't updated the app since Sep of 2018?? I see constant complaints.This is legit a 40 plus dollar, hunk of metal! Without the app you can't do anything with it. I'm def going to be emailing an calling any listing or partners selling this.If you don't get the app fixed. In my opinion this is a big old scam.. bc soo many have had issues with the app an are being ignored. I wish I would or read the reviews before!!
