Wilkinson WVS50IIK Chrome Tremolo Bridge for Stratocaster type Guitars, WVS 50 IIK

Love the look, the feel and weight. A quality item from first impressions and locking down the saddles is a bonus. It can be set to different heights on the 2 points on the mount which is good for getting the right amount of float. The arm being a push in version is super easy to install and remove and the screw for tension is nice to use too so it is just right. Superior to other systems so it definitely wins me over. Slightly disappointed there werent installation instructions. Considering it requires correct lining up and drilling of the mounts for the screws in the body it will need a bit of studying first to have it right which is a little unnerving. Measure twice and make it nice i guess. Kudos Wilkinson for the design!

I think that this bridge is quality! I really like it! Just a word to the wise though... If you are fitting this to your guitar that doesn't already have this style bridge and you have to drill the holes for the pivot pins yourself, then I recommend that you either get it done professionally or your do it very very slowly and measure over and over at every opportunity. Also drill pilot hole and use a counter sink bit so you don't damage the paint work.But anyway I digress. Great bridge, highly recommend. Adds tonnes of sustain! And looks nice :)

The tremolo looks very good... unfortunately, the functionality is disastrous.1. The screws that must fix the blocks through which the strings pass are made of a soft alloy (looks like copper) and the thread did not last even for the first fixing.2. Some blocks through which the strings passes were not completely finished (burrs not removed).3. The screw that must tighten the collar of the tremolo arm is located far too low, very difficult to access for future interventions and if you do not adjust it before mounting the device, you will have a lot of headaches afterwards.I do not recommend at all. 🙁

Excellent replacement

Replaced a yamaha RGX Tremolo with the Wilkinson WVS50IIK. The Wilkinson tremolo is super easy to adjust and stays in tune brilliantly.Note you need two allen keys to adjust the intonation. Slacken the locking nut, then adjust the bridge position.

This is a superb piece of kit. Tuning stability is great, sustain is good, and it works smoothly. A huge improvement on the original fender vintage spec.
