The Reginnaglar Ceremony: A Reincarnation Adventure Fantasy (Adelheid)

4.25 starsOverall, this was a great book. Excellent story excellent character advancement some surprises. I did not expect everything you could ask for. So someone asked why did I give this book 4.25 when I gave the first book a 5.0. That’s tough to answer to be honest. You have to read this book to understand. The first book in the series was very tightly written for lack of a better word. The words flowed well together. I could understand the story I saw where things are going, I knew where certain, Ask had come from. I could easily make sense of everything. This book hear the writing sometimes seems to get ahead of itself. It seems to be a little loose again for lack of a better word. If you’ve ever read a book that had to be translated from South Korean to American in this genre, sometimes you run into issues where the words don’t quite match up it’s not that bad here, but there are instances where I think the author gets a little bit ahead of himself. Going a little too fast without explaining everything. I’ll give you an example. It’s not really a spoiler. She has a fight with her dad this book. They don’t speak or at least it appears they’re not speaking I don’t know. Why? It’s a simple answer, but it’s not easily explained you find out later in the book easily, but it should not have taken that long because the author expected you to catch what was wrong early on. You just don’t because it’s Poorly Written. I don’t want to say poorly, but it’s not well written. Now overall great book man is it good? I can’t wait for the next. However, like I said, there are just instances where I wish maybe some more editing has been done to tighten things up.Now message to the author spoilers belowI always write a note to the author, especially for books that I really like. First this was a great book. My only issue was it did appear that may be some more editing could’ve been done. It just seems to be very fast paced with the writing, and sometimes ideas got ahead of themselves. My example of her and her father fighting but initially I said I must’ve missed something. Maybe I skipped it reading too fast. Why was she mad at him? Why wasn’t she speaking to him? It was not a major secret that he left her hanging at the end of the last book. The thing is, it wasn’t explained early in this book that that was why she was mad at him. You’ll find out later when it all suddenly makes sense but it could’ve been handled better. I get a lot of little instances of that in this book. That was not present in the first book. No I do have one other issue and I don’t think it’s something fixable. It’s to do with progression. First, I love how she grows as a character the blood thing. Awesome. I hope you expand on that. The issue though is how are other characters going to honestly grow. In a traditional progressive or LRTRPG novel you kill something you get stronger you get new items you get stronger here. It takes a progressive amount of time for someone to get stronger. It takes years to get stronger. Sort of like a roadblock being put in place now. Preventing great characters from developing great strength. It’s not that they don’t have the potential it’s that it’s going to take forever. I hope that makes sense at least. It says if their ability to develop and grow stronger is held back by a factor of time. Instead of oh, I can’t wait for them to get stronger in the next few years. It’s like ugh it’s going to take several years for them to get stronger. It seems to hold the character development back. I did like the daft in the book. I do hope we get to see more of her, using her talents from earth to change things here to really flip over the board if you will.

So here we are in book 2 and I couldn’t be more happy with it! Adelheid has had 1 goal since she was reincarnated in this world and that is to become Empress. In book 1 her father left her die when a monster attacked and she hasn’t forgiven him yet. He’s trying to rekindle that relationship in his own weird way and it causes some interesting plot points. Adelheid has decided to take over the empire using food and she started an budding food empire, one that has snakes and sharks gunning for her. There are assassination attempts, tournaments to determine her knights, dungeon diving, more food creations, and a good ol monster invasion. In essence everything you could ever want in a follow up book. I loved the world building, and the character development of the side characters. I would have like more inner thoughts of Adelheid but the book was still 5 stars. I’ll be Sitting on pins and needles u til book 3.

4/5 for the story. I love that Adelheide keeps facing adversity and is rising to the challenge and gaining valuable experience. Especially in her interactions with other people.3/5 for pacing. Book 1 suffered from the same issue. There are some spots that just lacked details that would make the story read so much better. The story advances consistently by bulldozing over everything in its path, for better or worse. Give us more. Go a little further in depth and allow the small moments to be a window into the characters.3/5 for proofing. Better than book 1, but there were still spelling errors and entire paragraphs that repeated themselves.I loved Book 1, and eagerly awaited Book 2. In spite of the ratings I gave, which mostly harped on the technical side of the writing, I really enjoyed reading this and I look forward to Book 3!

Another fun book about the adventures of Princess Adelhied third in line to the Throne and probably the next Empress. But for now she must undertake a coming of age ceremony, just normal things like life and death battles in a dungeon and angry people trying to kill you, just the usual.Pros, was glued and tried to forcefully pace myself so I could savor this meal longer, failed.Cons, so much yummy sounding food the lucky character get to eat makes me hungery.And now that I have sadly come to the end I will now eat, for the book made me forget to eat and now I'm famished.Poor Neun.

This is a good read. It’s a fantasy novel that mixes the Japanese light novel style with aspects of western fantasy. The story is engaging with interesting characters. It also avoid many of the predictable tropes you find in many light novels, making it an interesting read. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The previous book had grammar that was jarring, but this book is well edited. Way less run on sentences, better phrasing and word choice, everything was better.The world itself is well constructed, and even what is told is clearly the tip of the iceberg. Fantastic job to the author and editor.

While I don't much like magic circles or rock drakes breathing actual rocks, the rest of the story is intriguing and fun. The character are quirky, and the amount of food in this story, like the last one, is enough to have had me constantly hungry.

I had some misgivings about book 1. First, it felt super "Light Novely" at times which was unexpected and kind of put off. And second, the pacing was sloooooow, with very little of anything happening to keep my interest. Book 2 is a much better improvement on these issues.The light novel aspect is still kind of there in this book, particularly whenever Matilda is in a scene. I actually have some high hopes that her character will "improve"/change a bit in book 3 and on. If Matilda's character/personality basically remains the same in book 3, I think I'd actually penalize the story telling since a lot happened in this book that SHOULD force some degree of maturing/personality changing.Pacing was great though. There wasn't a whole lot of sitting around and waiting to do stuff in this book. tl;dr: Expect lots more action.The world building, conspiracies, and intrigue continue to grow more and more. That being said, I am starting to question the motivation of the shadow organization's focus on the MC. Either I missed it or it hasn't been explained, but the laser focus on her is starting to get a little crazy. If the point is to overthrow/take over the empire, then I think I'd like to see their actions in other places and on other people -- simply focusing on the MC alone seems contrived and unrealistic.Food still has a main stage presence in this book and I think its pretty clear it won't be going away in future books. So if that bothered you in book 1; either accept it or maybe steer clear.Overall, I was pleased with this book and I look forward to book 3. I like that the MC is starting to get a handle on her power and is starting to get some progression. I'm looking forward to seeing her throw her strength around a bit more in the future.

Poor soul died on the frontlines… yeah the sadistic tendencies of the author are getting only worse after that ! Just cruel. Loved the arc tho and was feeling pretty sad only to be happy again just to … in the end !Yeah plot thickens and connecting characters/plot aswell as the setup for the next book was great !I hope we get more character development and deepen the Honeysquad bond.But i think Adel now realized that her current treatment cant build strong personal connections like matilda can.Slow start but picks up in the second half.I definitly recommend !

The first book was already good but the author continue with a great follow up. He know how to write, he can write from multiple point of view, create great story and incredible world. Hightly recommend.

I must admit to being glad I picked this series up, this one was interesting and mind in some aspects I do hope we get a few answers sooner than later for certain actions taken by certain characters. Either way was enjoyable to watch and I'm looking forward to the next one.

I really hope there will be more of this series.

I liked this Book more than 1. And the Author makes a really good job. The World Building is something what i always miss in many storys but her it's really good. Keep it up.
