Beautiful and healthy
Very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful these shrimp are! I ordered 20, and 23 shrimp were included in the bag. There was one DOA but the rest of the shrimp were enjoying it as a snack while they waited to be released. One of the females that arrived is berried so that was an extra pleasant surprise. The package was a bit beat up when it arrived but thatโs on FedEx for being careless with it. I floated the bag for 30 minutes and then did a drip acclimation for about 3 hours before putting them in my tank. They immediately got to work grazing on my moss and driftwood. They all seem to be doing great so far! Iโm not seeing any of the parasitic algae other people have mentioned. I donโt usually leave reviews but I was very anxious about ordering these guys online and to see how healthy and beautiful they are, I wanted to share my experience. If youโre on the fence, I say go for it with this breeder. Great price for great shrimp!

Best aquatic purchase ive ever made 4 times
July2026- ive got 60+ free babies already from my order. Never buying from another aquatic company for shrimp ever again! Original review:will be extatic about your purchase with swimming creatures. I got 20 orange shrimp this time. Last order (jan 2026) and the order before that (dec 2025) i got 10 blue shrimp each. Now (June 2026) i have well over 100 blue shrimp in 2.5 gallons packed full of plants and was well established before getting thr shrimp. My orange i just got are gorgeous. Im so excited im order more bc im ready to see lots of color at all times. My blue tank looks like a circus at all times. I love it. I haven't called ANY shrimp in my blue tank and theyre all gorgeous with no wilds at all. This store has an amazing genetic line of shrimp. Also they ship shrimp that are pregnant very often. So you get free surprise babies. What an amazing bonus to have 30 free babies. Ive gotten babies in 2 of my 3 orders. I may have in the first 1 and didnt see them. Cant wait to order again when the temps drop. My pink rams horn have flourished too. I grab them from their gallon jar and put them in tanks as needed. Also their customer service is top tier if there are ANY issues at all, they'll take care of you!

Highly Recommend
Iโve ordered Amano shrimp, Golden Backs, Blue Dreams, and nerite snails from Swimming Creatures, and Iโve been very happy with every order. Everything has arrived healthy and active, and the shrimp have had beautiful, vibrant coloration. The quality has been excellent, and Iโll definitely continue ordering from them!

Love them!!! ๐๐
โค๏ธ Amazing! I ordered Premium Blue Velvet shrimp, and when the first box arrived, some of them didnโt look blue. I thought there had been a mix-up and they had sent me Snowballs, but then another box arrived with the Blue Velvet shrimp! ๐ In the end, I received 10 Snowballs, 5 Blue Velvet, and 4 baby shrimp that Iโm still not sure what variety they are. They all arrived healthy, active, happy, and a great size. I absolutely love them! Thank you so much for everything! ๐ฅฐ๐ซถ

Great deal overall, but coloration could be slightly better and beware the "green fungus"
Long review because I want to explain as much as possible in case it is useful to someone (but really because I want to infodump about my new shrimps lol). They are in a 20gal long aquarium that already had two shrimps from an old colony (unsure whether one of the old shrimps snuck into the video). Received these guys a couple days ago (their day of arrival is "Day 0"). They came in two bags with approximately half of the shrimps in each bag. One shrimp was DOA and the bag it was in smelled quite bad, but everyone else was still alive. I put all the shrimps into a small tub using water from the non-stinky bag and began drip acclimating them. During acclimation, I came to realize that one of the shrimps had damaged legs and the notorious "green fungus" (it's not actually a fungus, rather a parasitic algae, but that's what it's commonly called). This was mentioned in some of the reviews on other listings from this seller, so I wasn't entirely surprised. I separated that shrimp from the rest and continued acclimating. I treated the water in the tub with a tiny amount of H2O2 because I read that this kills spores from the parasite. I'm not too mad at the seller because it's hard to avoid all disease in stressed-out animals being shipped across the country, but it's something to look out for and there's always the worry that others will catch it. I didn't bother quarantining the whole lot, only the obviously sick one, because there were so few previous shrimps in my aquarium. They seemed a bit stressed upon arrival and during acclimation, but perked up quickly upon being added to the aquarium. They immediately took to exploring the tank and grazing. A few more died, but I don't blame the seller, as I'll explain: One shrimp died during the acclimation process. Another died overnight into Day 1, and another random one died in the middle of Day 1. The "green fungus" shrimp died in quarantine after I tried a salt bath. So in total, including the DOA, I lost 4 out of the whole shipment. I don't blame the seller for these deaths because I typically lose some shrimps in the first few days no matter where I buy them from, even if I'm careful to acclimate them slowly. They are sensitive to changes and shipping is stressful to them. As a note, I would beware of reviews that complain about the shrimps dying without any mention of drip acclimation, because this species simply does not survive well if you don't acclimate them very slowly. It's now Day 2 and there have been no additional deaths, and none of them show any sign of the "green fungus". I'm hopeful that the shrimp that had the "fungus" was just a weak individual and that the problem won't become more widespread. All seem healthy and active, and there was even a successful molt. I've been feeding them (mineral junkie on Day 1, Hikari pellets today) and they have good appetites. The seller was MORE THAN GENEROUS with the extras. It was hard to count but I think there were even more than the promised 20+4, PLUS at least two were berried and a couple babies were in there. Other than the bonus babies, they were all either adults or close to being adults, i.e. they will probably breed before long. This is a very good deal if you're looking to start a colony, especially for the price (about 60 USD); different sellers I've bought from in the past either sent fewer shrimps for more money, or sent juveniles that weren't close to breeding age. Also, the extras and the berried females more than make up for losing a few. As for the coloration, results were somewhat mixed. Most of them are quite nice looking and a few are an absolutely stunning dark blue. However, a few of them are too light and/or a bit too patchy for me to call them "grade A+" as the seller's graphic implies they are. They seem to have colored up now that they're settled, but the patchy ones are still patchy, so this is likely their true coloration and not just shipping stress. I'll update if anything significant happens that changes my viewpoint, but overall I'm satisfied despite the few caveats.

Perfect colony starters.
Great price, great color, fast and safe shipping. Ordered 20, received 22 with only 2 DOA, plus they included a few babies for free. Looking forward to this colony taking off and will be a returning customer for other aquarium needs.

Disease
Iโve ordered shrimp successfully from Swimming Creatures before, which is why I was confident doing so again. However, with certain things, it only takes once to prove that proper care is not being taken, and the shrimp are not inspected before being sent out. One of several things happened for this shrimp to have arrived with Clado: -Swimming Creatures is not a hobby shrimp farm as I thought, but a large commercial direct-shipping operation. The shrimp are shipped to us directly from large, dirty, overcrowded, outdooor open-air breeding ponds in Asia; Or, -Swimming Creatures is a hobbyist who received shrimp from one of the above commercial sellers, and they failed to adequately quarantine them before adding to their own stock. Then they sent out infected shrimp. The order arrived quickly and the shrimp are visually beautiful. Unfortunately, they also brought a Clado infection with them. This will cost me extra labor I donโt really have time for to save them. If I caught it in time, then I will be lucky not to lose my colony or much of it. One star- would not have paid a dollar if Iโd known I was buying a parasitic infection.

Quality seller, healthy shrimp.
Seller replaced immediately when I had issues, no dilly dallying. Shrimp were very happy upon introduction to tank, 19/20 of new batch survived after being in the shipping bags for a few days. Seller provided natural minuscule food and plants, along with a green netting they clung to(which also let me know they were alive and made it easier to introduce them to the tank preventing me from having to grab them if they cling to the bag). One of the 2 bags of 10 came with a uniquely colored clear white cream shrimp with a top white solid line running along the whole of its back similar to the strong orange line on orange neocaridinia, it is quite pretty and should add unique genetics to my new colony which includes a few orange rilli from an online retailer. I am very satisfied with the health of the shrimp, and will order orange again and even orange rilli from this seller after the colony establishes itself.

Just simply impressed
Considering these guys came from the states to Canada, I am really impressed. Bigger than I thought they would be, beautiful mix of colours and all ten lived. I think there might have been an extra one in there as there looked like a wee cooked shrimp, but really happy with the variety and size of these guys. And such troopers for making the huge journey . I would order again, on a Monday though,,, lol
