Citizen Watches BM8475-26E Eco-Drive Strap Watch

Great watch for this price. Classic aviation style. The hands, especially, numbers and 5 min markers are luminous in the dark.Lighter in weight and slimmer than I thought. But that is a plus point for me.It has a black hard anodised case and mineral glass face, so it should be very robust and pretty scratch resistant.Some people have reviewed and mentioned the strap is of poor quality? All I can say is it looks to be pretty robust, quite thick, well made and very good quality. I don't know if these people are showering or swimming with their watch on! But leather straps are not designed for that. That is why they don't make leather wellys. Leather will quickly loose natural oils and degrade if subject to too much water.As an every day watch, it is ideal, easy to read and looks superb.If you register the 5 year warranty on-line with Citizen you get another 1 year bonus. 6 year warranty.All good.David.

I bought it for my father as a present. He enjoys itIt's nice, I like the colours.

So far so good , its a good looking watch except for the strap. I had to change it . I have just started using this watch , its light and even lighter once I changed the strap . I bought it solely for the eco-drive as am fed up of watch batteries. They cost a fortune. The color of the watch is a bit different to the one displayed. Can’t say much as its still new.I had to get a refund and returned this watch as it stopped working . Not happy with it it was hardly a month old.

You will either love the look of this watch or hate it either way it will be noticed. For me I love it ‘ verging on a military field watch with red numerals it stands out plus the change from red to green at night with the quality luminescent’ same goes for the brown leather strap ‘ sounds like it would be the wrong colour to match a black cased watch but it works perfectly and it is decent’ as for the workings of the Citizen it dose what it’s supposed to and in my eyes dose it extremely well. Bought this to go on holiday with and for the price I feel it’s unbeatable’ its whole lot of watch . The weight is fine and you know your wearing it as for the size I would say this is middle of the road so not to big and not to small . I know the fad is big watches at the moment but I think this one is exceptable and people will still go for it . You can pay what you like for watches as we all know ‘ but if your like me it’s not always a money thing sometimes something just looks the part and you think I like that and it will still hold its Owen in years to come . P.s their are some good watch’s out at the moment look wise ‘ for me this is one of five I liked ‘ it just had the edge factor .

This watch was bought as birthday present to my wife. We charged it fully as per instruction in the manual sent by Citizen watch company. Amazon did not include manual. Amazon said the watch was "good" meaning it was in good working order.After charging fully over 2-3 days in bright sunlight I adjusted the time, day and date as per instruction and presented it to my wife. She soon noticed that the watch was running slow. As time passed, it ran slower and slower and was hours behind. We started watching and noticed that the second hand was lingering longer and longer at each move.I was embarrassed and disappointed to present a defective watch to my wife and she was disappointed too.This was my first time purchase from Amazon and was NOT a good experience. Amazon sold to me a defective watch when it had reassured me to be "good". I am not very happy with Amazon's response. It just asked me to return the watch that I now have done.It never offered me any kind of compensation for the embarrassment and disappointment at presenting a defective watch to my wife for her birthday. It was upsetting and inconvenient too.The least Amazon could have done was not only to offer the full refund but offer some form of compensation for selling a dud to me.It was my first order and I am loathe to order again from a company that boasts about setting a new standard in customer care.I would like a full refund as soon as possible.

I actually had the same looking watch in another brand that I bought from a 'bargain' website. But when I saw the specs of the Citizen I went for it. 100m water resistant and no battery and better build quality. I have large wrists so the leather strap went straight away and I replaced with a couple of Nato straps which I think compliment the watch. I love the day date function. Charge the dial and the lume is good. Mine seems to keep great time plus a 5 year warranty.

Lovely looking watch in the photo's and i had my eye on for some time now. Within 30 minutes of opening the box it was apparent that neither the numbers or the the hands are luminous so reading the time in anything other than well lit conditions is really difficult. In addition the photo used for adverising makes it look slightly lighter than it actually is. I knew this was not the watch for me and returned it immediately.

The watch has a great set of features that I sought -- truly clear and easy to read at a glance, eco-drive technology, large size without being huge, comfortable to wear, modern and stylish. I also looked for one that was very light on the arm. This is close, but I found it to be ten grams more than listed on the site (weighing 69 vs 59 grams that was listed). It's still light relative to other good watches, just not feather-light. I wanted a second hand that was clear but distinct from the others, night visibility, date and day, and this has all that, too. I love the design.
