Diesel Injection Pump Socket Compatible with Bosch VE VP EDC TDI VP 37

At first thought I had the wrong size after getting it on the head of the bolt worked good.

They work well for Ve pumps on the 1989-1993 Cummins

Aside from the fact that the 10 mm double D socket is half inch drive making the tool necessary to drive it awfully bulky considering the job and confines required to get the top of a ve pump apart in vehicle. It would be a hell of a lot better if this socket was 3/8 drive or even 3/8 drive shallow instead of deep. I see no reason for it to be a deep well socket. I ended up cutting it off and welding up to the back of another socket. Yes, ridiculous, but easier than making the 10 mm double D shape and now you can sneak it in where it needs to go and remove the part that needs to be removed without having to pull the whole injection pump out of the truck.

Fits alh tdi 7.5mm socket

Does not fit the VW VE Bosch fuel injector pump. I have a AHU motor with a VW VE Fuel Injector Pump and these don't fit. Bad advertising. Trying to return.

The 7.5 mm triangle socket had to be turned on a metal lathe to reduce its outer diameter. Approximately 1.5 mm was removed so that the socket could seat properly. An angle grinder can also be used while spinning the socket with a drill. The other socket I tested was the one for the high-pressure valve. It had to be hammered onto the bolt head. While I was ultimately able to make the kit work, it required fine-tuning of the sockets and did not function properly out of the box in my case. I am running a 2003 ALH engine with an 11 mm pump.

Cheaper than snap-on, but gets the job done. Worked for my 2002 Volkswagen TDI ALH injection pump.
