Just the thing for starting hymn singing
Well made and works very well. I like having the case and the slider to set the note you want to play before you have to. Have just ordered a second one. Also have an F - F version but find that the C - C is best for starting hymn tunes.

Value for money
Read varied reviews for this. I wanted it for pitching a note for a group of singers and it is okay. I hoped for a clearer note but this is one of the cheaper pitch pipes on the market. I think it is good for the money and my usage didn't merit spending two or three times as much to get a better one. Comes with its own case to stop bits getting in the works which is useful.

Pitch pipe review
The Chromatic pitch pipe tuner as proved to be very useful with the individuals in the choir the ease that you can find the required note is good as the note name is embossed on the unit not printed as with other products which over time rub off leaving no indication of the note you are blowing, good product ask me again in 12 months after continuous usage.

Not reliable.
I have used this pitch pipe for an a cappella group I run. It is basically cheap and easy to use, but I have got through 2 in 2 years. They fall to bits. Not good when this happened while singing at an outdoor event this week.

Works as advertised
It's a pitch pipe. It does exactly as it says. A few complaints I would have about it is the little white piece that's for those who can't blow into just one note at a time... it's just in the way. The guide on top is a bit difficult to read as well. I'm not an expert at reading music yet, so I use it, but it's still a guessing game. It does the job of helping me be on a usable pitch though.

Excellent
I first bought this product I think over 5 years ago and someone asked me for this. This is being used by a choir director in Lusaka Zambia, so far he says it does the job well.

Fine pitch pipe
It's a good pitch pipe for one of my reasons for buying it (I've just joined a barbershop quartet and larger ensemble and wanted to have one) but my aural skills tutor recommended we purchase one to practise our aural intervals and it's not brilliant for that because the slider is necessary for the notes to sound well. If the mouthpiece isn't positioned properly, the note won't be well produced so just randomly flicking from one note to another isn't easy. It's fine if you literally just want to pitch a note, which is it's intended use after all. The box is nice and keeps it safe in a full bag although the fabric square at the bottom of the box could be better (you get what you pay for I suppose). The box can be fiddly to open too so I make sure to take it out of the box before a rehearsal begins and leave it out of the box until we are finished.
