The Art Of Shaving Shaving Cream - Sandalwood Essential Oil - 150g/5.3oz

I had this shaving cream in a batch of my first creams after using tin foam of years. It is sooooo nice to use. A little goes a very long way, it feels lovely and smells good too. Brings a small pleasure to the mundane task of shaving. I also brought two different brands but for me, this was the best. When I used the last of the other two, this brand is all I use. I will try the aftershave soon and see how that goes.

Excellent shaving cream when used with the pre shave oil and shaving balm. I've been using this product for 5 years and have not looked back. Every other shaving cream or foam I've used irritated my skin before switching to the Art of Shaving. The Sandalwood also smells great!

Does what it is meant to do. Lasts for ages as only a little is needed on the brush to create a rich lather.

This item is my little bit of luxury in the morning. I discovered it about a year ago in San Francisco, & have been using it ever since. I highly recommend it.

At first this product seems a little pricey but it helps provide the best shave ever. As a person with tough bristles and sensitive skin this product takes the agony out of shaving!!! It lasts for ages too if you use just a finger tips worth which is more than enough to get the job done effectively. This of course totally mitigates the cost so an all round winner.

My husband loves this stuff but it is so hard to get here. Says it's the best for lather, makes the skin feel good and smells lovely.

Not the cheapest cream out there, but it is certainly one of the best. goes a long way if lathered with a brush.

I thought I may regret buying this shaving cream as it is quite expensive in comparison to other shaving products, however it's actually worth it. It smells good, produces a smooth and creamy layer and makes shaving comfortable without the odd cut that other products have caused me in the past. Had the pot with me on a cycling holiday and all the guys have bought it since. I also tried lavender but don't like it that much ...

First of all, the price might be higher than most shave soaps you see advertised, but it is also probably double the amount of product than those others you might be looking at. So in that respect despite the higher price, you are getting much more for your money. Next, performance, and it does perform well. It creates a soft foam that helps the razor glide effortlessly over your face. I use one of those silicone shave bowls with the ribbed bottom (I recommend these for anyone as they help economize the amount of product needed). All it takes is one shallow dip of a shave brush and you can whip up a nice soft lather in seconds, that has staying power. When applied to the skin there seems to be a slight cooling effect, but this may be entirely subjective. The scent is pretty accurate, and also contains a fresh, almost citrusy element in addition to the sandalwood notes. The scent is present but not overpowering and even after your shave, you will still catch the scent for a couple hours, but very subtle at that. Overall a great product, I have to admit, even though it is now under the umbrella of one of the big guns (Proctor and Gamble). I prefer to get my products from independent sources, not corporate entities like P and G. But to be fair, it does perform and so I have to admit that.
