Valterra RV Hi-Flow Water Regulator, Lead-Free Brass Hi-Flow Water Regulator for Camper, Trailer, RV Plumbing System, 50-55 psi

We have went through 2 of the manually adjuat guage type regulators. We also have one of the camco ones that restricts your flow so much it is not even worth showering. IMO this is thr o ly regulator worth buying. Simple to use, takes up no space, works great and my wife and kids appreciate the great showers!!

Bought this to replace an older regulator that had started to leak. This one is working perfectly and is being used to reduce/regulate the pressure to an automatic horse waterer.

I purchased this to replace an adjustable regulator because the gauge went bad several times and I got tired of paying to replace them. This fixed 50 - 55 psi regulator is easy to use, provides ample water flow and doesn't have any parts to break.

We're new to RVs and our travel trailer needed one of these puppies to replace one which came with our Keystone Sprinter. The previous one was leaky and questionable. This one feels solid, screwed in leak free at the campsite - water pressure felt consistent. It costs a touch more than others, but to me it's worth the purchase for such a nice little piece of hardware that's oh so critical for a happy camping experience.

Over 5 years and still good. I’m getting another for a spare. Buddy of mine has had good performance from his same regulator.

I had purchased 3 of the "other" regulators. The ones with a gauge on them. They didn't last and stopped regulating the water pressure after a few months of use. The last one was DOA so I tried one of these. Since I've built and installed my own water filter system and gauges I don't feel a need for a regulator with a gauge on it. It comes in 2 flavors. A high flow, higher pressure version and the not so high flow, not as high pressure regulator. The higher flow, higher pressure unit keeps the water pressure at around 55 PSI, assuming the spicket pressure is at least that high. No noticeable low flow or pressure issues.

Wish I knew hi flow pressure regulators like this existed earlier. Solved my low pressure shower issue. Note this is really just like any other pressure regulator of its kind. It just allows for a slightly higher pressure around 55 psi, instead of the typical 45 psi, which helps a lot if you also have an inline water filter that also naturally lowers pressure. It protects just as well against unexpected very high pressure situations often encountered in campgrounds.

I replaced my old, leaking "WaterMate" regulator with this new, lead-free Valterra -- and it works great !! The Orange plastic grip allows easy, screw-on installation and removal. It comes complete with an internal screen/washer, too. NOTE: The included screen/washer is NOT stainless steel, so it WILL rust through in a couple of months -- I use ONLY stainless-steel screen/washers to avoid bits of rotted screens from clogging the Regulator, the Timer, or the Sprinklers. The lead-free "brass" regulator body is designed primarily for RV hookups -- to keep dangerous LEAD from leaching into your drinking water, but mine is mounted on the garden hose faucet to prevent blow-outs of soaker hoses and drip systems. Another feature of the Valterra shows up in the monthly Water Bill -- it's MUCH lower than before the installation of the Valterra regulator !! The Valterra Regulator runs at 52-55 psi., tested at the faucet with a Rainbird P-2 Pressure Gauge. I use the Valterra regulator ahead of an Orbit Digital Timer for precise lawn watering and accurate water distribution through GILMOR Gear-Drive Sprinklers, also available at Amazon. My order arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Thanks, Amazon !! UPDATE: 14 June, '14 -- Regulator is still working perfectly -- with no leaks and/or drips -- and the Water Bills are still lower than before the Valterra was installed.

The previous regulator controlled pressure but restricted flow considerably this regulator controls pressure and does not restrict flow. It solved my problem I'm very happy with it.

Nice to have as it saves the water lines. Neighbours have had broken fittings on their water hos s. Can't be good for the internals of the trailer. Mine works fine. Inside pressure is good.
