Easy to assemble and used to repair a macadam path. Solid weighty and very sturdy. Great grip material on handle making it more comfortable to use. Thought the tamper face was a bit small until I started using it and came to the conclusion it is the perfect size for the job

did what I bought it for and very firmly built

This is excellent. After firmly setting the rod in place you can pound away without worrying about breaking anything. Joking aside; I bought this to replace one that had a fiberglass, yellow handle. The one before was lighter, that's for sure, but the handle broke eventually and is not replaceable. The handle on this is almost solid metal and can be removed and replaced if I ever need to in the future. Heavier, but I prefer that. I use this a lot for leveling parts of our driveway and garden (greyhounds can move some earth, let me tell you). All and all, I can recommend this for small area pounding.

Not bad, but the joints around the bolts get a bit loose after a couple of days of work. It gets the job done though. If I had to buy again, I'd look for one with a one-piece shaft.

Great solid material & works well. Very sturdy & easy to grip. I have used it to level me yard for retaining walls and it works perfectly. Totally worth the buy!
