Excellent read for kids and adults
I got the first one for my son as he is reading books very quickly. Bought the whole series, some he read on his own, others we would share reading before bed time. The whole series is fantastic. It is quite enjoyable for kids who are starting to ask questions about how they fit in the world to see how unlikely heroes like Hiccup and Fishlegs manage to adapt time and time again. Over all it is a thoroughly enjoyable read. The story line is great and we are looking forward to the next installment to find out what happens to Hiccup and friends.

Great story! Wrong edition
Firstly, the delivery was great and the story itself is really good. My only issue is the book that was advertised in the picture was not the edition that came, and although this may not be a major issue, it personally was to me as I have the complete set, excluding 6, in the same cover style.

A full hit
Our 9 year old son just loves the Hiccup books. He reads them through from cover to cover when they come through the door. Then I (his mother) read the book chapter by chapter. I find some parts quite scary so I tell my son to hold me tight. Even his big sister (14) wants to listend when I'm reading out loud. The language is rich and funny. The books always finish with a good parental child connection.

A perfect book for a granny to share with a granddaughter.
My granddaughter introduced me to Hiccup and Toothless and my life became enriched with dragons and children who live on the Island of Berk. Listening to these stories while sitting with my granddaughter is just magical. We both get so involved with the accents. The triumphs and failures and adventures. Cressida Cowell knows how to write stories that both adults and children can immerse themselves in and get total enjoyment from the experience. Treebeard. Breakaway Reviewers bought a copy of the book to review.

It was very good and I would recommend it to everyone who has an interest in action and comedy. I would also suggest the rest of the series.

Just facinating
We actually bought these books (there is a complete series) for our daughter, but now read them ourselves as well. The story is very facinating and you almost cannot stop reading. A little viking boy with his (very small) dragon experiences the most exciting adventures and there is always a fascinating twist to get from one challenge to the next one. Try them!

fantastico
David Tennant è troppo bravo! La quantità di voci diverse che riesce a fare è stupefacente e sono tutte credibili! La storia di Hiccup è divertente e ha una sua morale, mi piace molto.
