Great brake lube—easy to apply, eliminates noise, holds up under high heat and makes assembly a whole lot easier. Keeps brakes quiet and smooth. I really like having the brush in the lid, it’s so much easier than working the lube into slides with your finger. The lube is nice and thick, but isn’t heavy. It will definitely help prevent rust and oxidation. This big bottle should last you for the next 100 brake jobs you do. Just seal it up tight when you’re done and it’ll be ready when you open it up. Great value for the money and a must have for any brake job. Highly recommend!

I’ve used a lot of different brake lubricants over the years, and this Permatex Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant is easily one of the best. It goes on smoothly, stays where you put it, and handles heat extremely well. After using this on my brake job, everything feels solid and quiet with no squeaks or chatter. I like that it’s ceramic-based, so it doesn’t wash away or break down under high temperatures like some cheaper greases. It works great on slide pins, caliper hardware, and contact points, and a little goes a long way. Definitely a quality product that’s worth the price. I’ll be keeping this on hand for future brake work.

#####Updated Review on Sept 26, 2025### After about 5 years of first installing the brake rotors and pads on my vehicle, I have revisited my vehicle brakes as I noticed a squeaking sound coming from the rear brakes and to my dismay the pads on rear wheel on one side is completely worn out while the other side was half left. I also noticed uneven wear on the inside brake pads (hub side) on two of my wheels; moreover, 2 out of 4 wheels had seized caliper pins stuck inside the caliper bracket. Turns out this grease is good for the metal to metal contact surfaces such as brake pads, behind the rotors, hubs, abutment clips etc. but NOT recommended for the caliper sliding pins as the chemical in this product is known to interfere with the rubber boots especially the caliper dust boots and caliper trailing pin boots (pins with a boot) . The recommended grease for the caliper pins based on the service manual is High temperature silicone grease that can withstand the extreme high temperatures generated during extreme braking. Silicon is also safe for rubber boots and parts and will not gunk up at high temps; it will also aid in the back and forth caliper pin movement. #####Original Review on May 10, 2021#### I purchased this per a recommendation from my mechanic friend who taught me how to replace brakes and brake pads. The quality of this brake grease is very good compared to the regular grease as this is specifically made for the brakes to last longer withstanding extreme temperatures such as rain, heat, cold, lots of dust, grime without creating brake noise, corrosion and for the greater good of your brakes. My friend mentioned that this grease lasts forever as he found the grease still existing on one of the car brakes that he previously installed almost a decade ago when he opened at a much later time to replace them. It is important to remember that one doesn't remove brake rotors and/or brake pads unless they have an issue with them, damaged and needs replacement. So, it's better to use the grease that can last long as there is no point in settling for anything less that cannot serve it's purpose. Use it as a thin coat on the brake caliper slide pin to ensure the back and forth movement happens without much resistance, behind the brake pads where the pistons come in contact and also on the place where the brake pad clips meet the brake mount. Overall a great quality and highly recommend this without any hesitation. Moreover, I found that Amazon has the best price around and is always in stock as some of my local auto stores did not have this particular product in stock.

Great product, no squeaks or creeks yet. Easy to use brush attached to lid for spreading on all the parts that need it. Recommend to anyone doing a DIY brake project. Better to have more than you need and coat all necessary parts to eliminate or reduce future noise.

I’ve had an annoying squeak coming from my rear brakes on my truck. I knew exactly what was causing it so I ordered this and gave it a shot. I’m glad I did as the squeak is now gone. Worth the extra money compared to other brands as this actually works. Easy to apply.

I’ve been using this product for decades with zero issues. Just apply it the pads non-braking surfaces and you’re all set. I apply a different product to the caliper slide pins as I heard/read stories that this stuff eats away at rubber although bottle says that’s rubber-friendly.

The product was dry when I received it. Could have been old stock as there is no date of manufacture. Not worth the amount. I would not recommend it
