Lovely piece of kit. Easy to put together and simple to use.
Firstly, I think this product is great. Competitors' products can be astonishingly many times more expensive with little or no apparent benefit! I bought this product so I could have my attach my 20 inch widescreen LCD to one arm and support my MacBook Pro using the other. I'm currently got an Ergotron 50-193-200 notebook tray attached using the VESA mounting for this purpose. This all works very well.Having said that, what I really wanted to be able to do was to be able to periodically change swiftly and easily from working in a sitting position to standing; I spend much, too much time sitting down! This product, so nearly fits these requirements but falls somewhat short. If the central supporting pole were approximately 20cm longer I'd be delighted. As it is everything's just a touch too low when setup at maximum height.I'd also love it if the product came with two rather than one of the clamps that tighten around the central pole to keep the arms at a particular base height. If I had two of these each arm could have a different starting height. The reason being, the Ergotron notebook tray is mounted from the bottom and my LCD from the middle, so the two don't line up at their lowest and highest positions in the standard configuration. At the moment I've just stacked the two arms and bracket on top of each other on the central column which is functional, but not at all flexible. I do understand having a longer central supporting column would probably decrease the weight that each arm could carry, but I'm below the maximum load at the moment and would dearly love some extra height. If it were possible to tighten the tilt motion of the VESA mount more I'd also be more happy. The tray my laptop sits on is essentially a big lever so the whole mount can droop downwards whilst moving the laptop/tray/arm assembly around, I'd like to be able to lock the rotation of the VESA mount head for a similar reason. I must however say that whilst the whole assembly is not being moved it is solid as a rock and doesn't threaten to rotate or droop at all and I adore being able to completely painlessly change my LCD from a landscape to portrait orientation on a whim.I was going to give this product 4 stars, but I can't, it's got to have 5! It's a well built and solid product that does exactly what is says it will, sold for a bargain price, thank you!

Great. But Have Solution to Drooping Problem.
Pros:* Good Build* Reasonable Price* Flexible Arrangements* Tools Included* Elmij Technology Seller SupportCons:* Specified Monitor SupportThere are many detailed reviews for the pros of the Duronic DM552 Monitor Stand, so wanted to highlight a big downside of the product. In short, support for 27" monitors, but with a solution. My monitors fall within the 27" and 7.8kg supported specs. On first assembly the monitors held in place but were noticably sensitive to rotating forwards if touched. Then after two months one of the monitors started to rotate forwards. There was no further allowance for tightening adjustment, the rotatable hinge nearest the VESA plate just couldn't keep the weight of my 5.8kg monitors.I contacted both Duronic and Elmij Technology, both of whom offered responses and keenness to help. It was only Elmij Technology however, that sent me replacement VESA hinge parts, quite quickly too.The replacement parts were identical and have the same problem. So I took it upon myself to wedge the hinge to max at 90 degrees, which is as far as I personally need it to rotate (which works for portrait and landscape rotation). Simply using 36mm wood part as a wedge and taping it to the hinge bracket, is sufficient to fix the problem, without defacing or tampering with the product.Hope this helps people in similar situations. Ideally adding a thumb-screw bolt in a similar location to the wedge I used, would provide the closest amendment to the manufactured design. Otherwise, use a wedge.

... and installing the DM552 using the included instructions was pretty straightforward.
I've never used a monitor arm stand before and installing the DM552 using the included instructions was pretty straightforward... Except for the two screws that join the parts that are attached to the monitors with the rest of the stand. They have to be positioned upside down and travel some distance so you really need a pretty long screwdriver to get there. And if you, like me, have placed your desk against the wall the task becomes even trickier! One more complaint I have is that I cannot get my monitors to align 100%. Maybe I do not perfectly understand how the arm tension is properly adjusted, but I feel that this should have been explained in more detail in the manual. All in all, it feels like a sturdy, good quality arm stand and if you don't need to move your monitors around a lot I think it is a solid choice.

Very good but made need a mod for very big monitors
An excellent product for the price - the base especially is much more sturdy than the alternatives even though the attachment is more gentle on the desk (it spreads the contact/clamp point). One criticism would be the final 'knuckle' that allows the monitor to be tilted up and down is too weak for my monitors - they are 27 inch though!I had to modify them by disassembling and inserting a pair of home-made washers/gaskets made of wet-and-dry abrasive paper to increase the friction in the joint. With that in place and tightened up hard, they can hold a 27 inch panel.I had to wind up the tension spring in the arm to maximum also, but it does handle it.

Manufacturer needs to check the contents of the box. Wrong screws supplied.
Mixed feelings. Once it's set up, it does hold my monitors (including one 27" monitor). It's sturdy and secure. It didn't come with the correct screws (too long) and I damaged one of the plastic pieces whilst tightening the first one up because it was too. I had some washers and spacers in the toolbox so could manage but would have been extremely annoying if I'd not. Also adjusting the strength of of the arms can be hard work. But once set. Up, it's good.Note that if your desk is up against a wall, you can push the monitor straight back as the arm hits the wall. You have to to take it to the side instead.
