Go on, take the money and play!
High quality felt, coins and bills are easy to find due to bright colors and (hand) washes well. Our toddler is brutally tough on toys and these have stood up fantastically. Would also work well in a Montessori setting. Would both recommend and buy again.

Cute set and a good value for your money. I have two toddlers and every bit of paper money was destroyed instantly. These are well made and way more durable. The kids love them and for the price you get a pretty good amount. I would definitely recommend to anyone with a toddler interested in using a cash register!

So much better than paper money!
My daughter loves to play grocery store, restaurant, ice cream shop, and lots of other service/customer games. I've wanted to get her some play money for a while but didn't want paper bills. We had a few, and they just end up torn or crinkled up. I was very close to making our own felt money when I found this set. The pieces are very well made - crisp cuts and designs. I like the little cards with prices, although we're not at that stage yet. I know this set will see a lot of use as we learn about money and adding/subtracting.
