My garage would get super hot in the Summer and super cold in Winter. I installed these panels earlier in the year then covered them over with cinema screen material to turn my inside garage door into a giant projector screen.The material is high quality and easy to cut with a razor. I’m writing this delayed review simply because I’m so amazed at how much cooler my garage (aka home office) is now. During hot days, once the afternoon California sun hit the garage door, it would be hot to the touch. Temperatures inside could go passed 85 to 95 and no amount of fans would keep me cool.Since putting the insulation up, the temperature stays between 65-75 which is perfect. On a particularly hot day last week, we reached 82 inside the garage but that’s now very rare. It’s cooler in the garage than anywhere else in my home.If you are looking for a way to keep sun heat out of a garage space, I highly recommend this material. I actually thought the effect would be marginal at best, but I was totally mistaken.

I really like this stuff. Very easy to work with and looks really nice. My only concern is that the double sided tape doesn’t hold as well as they state. Decent insulation of the metal door. I can feel the difference.

I picked this product because I needed to insulate my one car garage as I turned it into a workshop. The instructions were easy to follow and the overall install was very easy. I like that the insulation is light and easy to fit to the garage door panels. I also am very pleased that the insulation is really helping to keep the garage cool. Living in Florida the garage gets insanely hot however the insulation on the garage side is not the least bit hot.This is a great product for a do-it-yourselfer like me.My only criticism is that the 2 sided tape is very difficult to separate from the backing. Once I cut the pieces of tape I needed I had to separate the tape from the backing which proved extremely time consuming. I believe there should be an easier way to pull the backing off the tape. It was our experience that removing the backing from the tape was difficult and took more time than it should.Other than the above this was a good product.

A tip that I did was to raise the garage a bit to get it exactly right when installing it. It was very simple to install and didn't take that long at all to install, just follow the instructions.

Went on smoothly. Followed all instructions, especially the preparation (cleaning the contact point on the door). Stayed on great for a month. Then as soon as the weather turned cold outside, many places lost adhesion (there was a slight slack in the material, so it's not due to shrinking in the cold). Reapplied with pressure only to have the same spots pull loose again. The insulating material is fine; the tape is pretty bad. Now I have to pull off about 10% of the panels and reapply with decent tape like 3M VHB.Probably better off just buying the rolls of insulation and then 3M tape.

Cannot rave enough about this insulation kit. I had planned on using insulation board that you score and break into the correct sizes when I came upon this kit and boy am I glad. It was so darn easy to cut and it fits perfectly in the channels of the garage door. And it is super effective. As soon as I finished I noticed a difference in heat being retained. I used it in my gym/workshop out building and it is working great. Thank you for making such a great product!!

The idea is good, but the tape included is temperature sensitive and shrunk AFTER the application, panels dropped off and I am now in search of a tape that can handle extreme temperature contrasts . 32 one day, 65 the next, drops again, then warm…. Insulation panels good and easy to work with, the tape, not so much.

My garage door was a little different and each piece had to be cut into to make it fit,but that was not a problem. Everything you need to install is included in the kit. I did run out of tape, but I don’t know if I used more than I should have on each panel. After speaking to Mike the owner, he has offered to send me the additional tape at no charge. You can’t beat that. I can tell the door is not as hot to touch as it was. Hope it will help the cold in the winter. This door is located in the basement.you can see the last panel that hasn’t been completed. It makes a huge difference on the look of the door. It is cleaner and sleeker looking.
