Interpet Deltatherm Aquarium Fish Tank Heater, adjustable, for Tropical and Marine, 50 W, for aquariums up to 45 litres

I purchased this product for my 19 litre tropical aquarium (it was recommended as the tank is also a product of Interpet.)So far, it has been brilliant. You can see when it's adjusting the water's temperature because of the red light switching on during heating, which is reassuring. I have a rather cold bedroom (where my fish tank is) and the heater seems to be on quite a lot, however, the fish (3 guppies and 2 danios) are comfortable and happy, and have been for a very long time so it must be doing it's job.I can tell the water is warm from touching the glass and putting my finger in the water. I do not, however, have another thermometer to check the temperature so I cannot tell the accuracy of the heater, but as I mentioned, it's always seems right.Setting the temperature is easy too, it's simply twisting the cap this way, or that way, depending on the temperature you want.It's very durable and has stayed stuck to the glass, never had a problem and forget it's there. It's rather big, but I have a small fish tank so it probably just seems that way to me.The power adapter is not too long, but it's not too short either, this can be easily fixed by an extension cord, of course, and the power adapter's WIRE can be submersed if need be safely.Overall, I would definitely recommend this heater to anyone, it's from a reliable company and does it's job very well. I can't say whether it will be good in experienced or bigger/complex tanks but for startup/simple tanks, this is an exceptional product.

The extremely negative review almost ended the purchase. I reasoned that the issues experienced had to be unusual. And so far this appears to be the case. I checked the unit carefully before use. Although no living creatures were being put at risk, living organisms were in jeopardy. Namely the yeast in my batch of fermenting beer. Proof will be in the drinking.The device is keeping temperature steady and consistent and so gets a thumbs up from me. No five star rating because I felt the temperature control could have been delineated in some way making it easier to duplicate the best temperature setting for measured volumes. However, this aside, it is pretty straightforward to operate so maybe I am being pedantic!

Works great! Have used the smaller versions before and needed to upgrade.

Size is huge. The temperature set to 22°c, the thermometer shows 24.3 °c so be careful, just slowly heat up and always check it

Great little heater. Works perfectly. It's small and compact meaning it's great for large nano tanks or betta tanks. It comes included with two clips and suction cups which makes it easier to attach to the wall of your aquarium. And what really sold it to me was the dial on top of heater. Meaning you can set the temperature of the tank. Most small heaters don't allow this. Clear glass bottom to the heater which allows you to see the heater elements

Great heater. Bought it as a spare for my 4 tanks and was not disappointed when I needed to use it, Only adjusted it once when I put it in the tank and haven't had the need to do it again. Steady temperature, and accurate,

These are sold in a certain well known pet store chain at a few pounds dearer...this being the primary reason for buying one... I currently use a cheapo brand which does the job but I wonder how long it'll last. I unpackaged the item & it certainly looks good quality with a good weight to it.... comes with suction mounts.... purchased as a back-up really so not currently tested.An update on my review as I've been using the new heater & it keeps the 40 litres of water in my aquarium suitably warm although maybe not 'exactly' to the setting on the device; perhaps due to temperature of room the tank is placed(?) My terrapins are hardier than tropical fish therefore I've had no problems with losses & heater has NOT developed/excreted any white substance.

Got this for my guppies and there 30L tank, they love it, very helpful in the winter!
