Good quality and works well. Installation instructions could be a little clearer.
This is brilliant as a repeater for our front doorbell. Our house is reasonably large and my hearing is not what it used to be, so I kept missing the doorbell. Not anymore with this placed at the back of the house. The presentation and quality of this unit is excellent. It was a tad tricky to follow the installation instructions because they are all pictorial and a little small. However I eventually got there and couldn’t be more pleased with the result. Very happy.

Excellent product. Poor Instructions for the system overall
I purchased this add a font door wired bell push to the Honeywell DC313NHGBS 3 Series Doorbell combo pack. It is nicely made, works well and is simple to install once you you on an existing bell push. The only disappointment is that although it can be wired via bell transformer it seems it must be powered by the battery. The transformer voltage is only used to power the existing bell push light. Not a big deal. I knocked it down a star because for the price of this system the instructions should be a lot more comprehensive. Pictograms are fine but something this complex needs some written information/explanation in addition or the pictogram needs to be more extensive. The instructions are printed in the inside of the packaging card which unfolds. They are not the folded paper insert. Once you find them for this bit of the system the instructions are fairly clear and my comment pertains to the system as a whole. I managed to figure it all out but I'm quite good at that sort of thing. Someone less used to wiring and the pairing electronic devices will find this frustrating. And although I managed to pair this to both bell units in the DC313NHGBS package and set the sound and light options specifically for each bell push, I cannot explain exactly how I managed to do that. I wired it leaving the existing electro-mechanical bell operational. See my review of the Honeywell DC313NHGBS. 3 series combo pack for more on that.

Very effective and versatile door bell.
I have a Nest Video Doorbell connected to a very old chime which my wife likes. Unfortunately could not be heard in certain parts of the house so I connected a relay to the chime circuit and used it to initiate the Honeywell wireless transmitter. The receiver can be moved anywhere in the house and reliably sounds when the door bell Is pressed. Very pleased with the result. Using a normal bell push the installation would be very straightforward. Currently I am powering the sounder with a USB adapter plugged into a mains socket rather than use batteries.

Battery lasts a week tops. Absolutely useless customer service
Used with a nest doorbell battery, wired in to mains. Overall: Massive disappointment and shame and poor design decisions. Almost like they did zero testing. Pros: Nice design Wago style connectors are a good IDEA... Speaker quality is very nice Flashing lights are good Customisable tones are nice Ability to mute for a period is good Cons: Battery in wireless transmitter lasts a week at most. Tested this with every brand including the best weatherproof cells, nope, just constantly drains. Up to 2 years they say? They lie. Wireless transmitter Wago connectors snap just by touching them. Too small, too fragile. USB Micro means it's legacy, and these connectors ALWAYS fail, why isn't it USB-C As such, overall it is utterly useless and not fit for purpose. Maybe it's a bad batch? Well try calling customer 'support' and endure their utter disdane for customers. 'Have you tried reconecting it'. No course I haven't you absolute genius. Returned after fighting with it. Went with Lloytron wireless transmitter and plug-in chime instead. Installed it in 15mins, worked instantly and the battery is a 5year A23, so expecting this to last far longer. Why they can't pull from the 12V feed directly and charge a capacitor is beyond me, this battery lark is like a solar-powered torch.

works fine for me
Used to add to an existing mains powered "standard" doorbell chime. wired the transmitter as per the guide so (see image): - AC1 and AC2 are wired onto the transformer contacts within the existing chime - one wire from the switch - the end not connected directly to the transformer (again in the chime) to contact A1 worked first time - no issues to report (the hardest part in all honesty was drilling the mounting holes - and that's a 2 min job). pros: - range seems ok, I'm using mine for my office upstairs which is a mere 20M at most thru brick and wooden flooring (getting annoyed at the deliveries I keep missing because I cannot hear the existing chime!) - for installation, on the rear of the transmitter is a switch, so u can test the link between transmitter and remote chime unit prior to fully plugging it in (the transmitter is comprised of 2 parts: a terminal block part, and the main body encasing the actual transmitter: the terminal block screws to the wall, then the other half simply plugs into it). - remote chime unit can be powered by USB instead of batteries, so ideal for me in that when my works laptop is on, the chime unit is also on, and when my laptop is not on, well ... - lights and sounds on the remote chime unit is good: it will get your attention if it's on your desk like mine is, irrespective of headphones usage. I simply needed something that would chime, I don't need MP3 playback, which I don't think this model supports (and i really don't want to hear Rod Hull singing "there's somebody at the door, there's somebody at the door!". UK readers: sorry if this comment invokes painful memories of Emu and the pink windmill from your childhood) Cons: - whilst I have a sound knowledge of electronics (so for me it was pretty simple to understand and how to "tap in" to existing powered setups), I can see the confusion for people whom are not so, as the guide isnt as clear as it could be (a common complaint with other feedback here): doesn't really explain how these can be wired in parallel with an existing setup: hence I have noted down how i've got mine setup above (with image). u don't need to remove any wiring for an existing powered setup, just need to "tack on" to the existing connections. - it's a pity the transmitter does NOT use the transformer voltage for power, it needs the CR2032 battery, and I cannot comment on battery life just yet (only been up for about a week) also to note: - if u are wiring to an existing powered connection, check the voltages with a multi-meter on your transformer prior to purchase/wiring in: recommended 8-12V AC on the transformer output. all in all, I'm happy with it.

Used as mobile door bell that can be brought around the house and in the garden. Mounted the transmitter adjacent to the original door bell, easy job and looks good. Only small flaw, reason for docking one star, is the cable connection socket in the transmitter. I used a stranded cable and had problems seating it properly until I put some solder on it. In the process I managed to break off the little tabs that I suppose are intended to release the cable. In hindsight I should have used single conductor cable.

Decisamente consigliato

My Honeywell doorbell gave up very quickly. This one is mounted inside the house and connected to a plain cheap button. Works (and keeps working) like a sharm.
