I can't get enough of how well done this Masala Chai is. The instructions, the proportions, and the final result are the ultimate chai experience! A cup of this tea gets me as caffeinated as a cup of percolated black coffee would. The aroma of blended cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, anise, and well-curated black tea leaves makes for a fresh cup with enough spice to wake me up. I don't find it too spicy. Usually I add some ginger juice to spice it up. I had to get a subscription for it because it's good and I always have to have it at home.

Delicious! Better than I hoped for. I love Masala Chai and having never tried this brand before and taking a plunge into the unknown, it was 100% worth it and it turned out exceptionally wonderful! I did not veer from the directions and also ordered seperately a cup sieve/strainer on Amazon, having just ordered the tea and sieve last night, both arrived today and I quickly made my 1st cup. The directions are layman terms/easy, and the ending result is absolutely delicious! I added after pouring into a mug a little bit of honey, chefs kiss! Next time I will use just milk vs the instructions with water and milk ratio, to brew it to see what difference the taste is as the fat in the milk would most likely make it a richer cup. I will also try another option with MALK unsweetened almond Malk next time and update my review. What a wonderful afternoon comfort treat & a very pleasant surprise! UPDATE: I forgot to note previously that you can add more or less tea in your making along with your liquid ratios for strength or richness. Side note: I ended up purchasing a double lipped/pour Henkle 18/10 sauce pan dedicated for making this particular tea, it brews, simmers & pours like a gem! I made the (dairy vs plant based) versions with Almond Malk and it is also very delicious, you cannot compare dairy vs plant based they are completely different but I also love plant based Malks, also delicious with Eden Soy Unsweetened Malk. I have also added a little dry (what I have on hand) Ginger which added a nice spicy warm zing. I made a cup for my husband who has never had Chai and he loved it! Caffeine in this didn’t make me feel wonky or nor did it linger forever, however I only drink tea or coffee in morning or early afternoon or I’m up at 3:00 am wide awake thinking of everything I needed to take care of or didn’t the day before (happens to some over 55). Love this tea!

This is my first time purchasing this tea. I loved it. Really nice flavor, good instructions for making chai tea, and I will buy more of this in the future.

I have tried many chais and can honestly say this one is my favorite. The taste is consistent and delish. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I discovered the rose chai and THAT ONE is five stars!

I enjoy the process of brewing chai almost as much as drinking it, and making chai with tea bags or concentrate is never as good as the real thing. I used to stock up on bags of chai ingredients at the local Indian market, but after downsizing the kitchen decided to give Kolkata Chai a go. I love that it isn’t oversweet, and the flavors are really nicely blended. I’ve had it hot and iced using their oat milk latte recipe online. The chai masala taste gets a little muted by the oat milk so I suggest using 3/4 the amount of milk indicated in the recipe to start. I will definitely buy another bag once I use this one up. It’s miles better (and cheaper!) than the sugar bombs for sale at the chain coffeehouses down the road.

I followed the directions, it was very mild, I tend to like my chai with stronger flavor. On scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the spiciness as a 3.

I love this Masala Chai mix. Absolutely delightful blend, with lots of aromatic spices. Not cheap, but I feel like every cup is a special treat. Make as directed. This is a boil and add milk chai, not a steeping tea.
