Such a disappointment. Avoid.
What appears as a leap forward, is a step backwards.Pro's:+ No more e-pedalCon's:- no more pure 'chick' - which was basically the whole point anyway >.>- 'chick' now accompanied by a 'wash' - no amount of configuring the billion options on the module will eliminate this.- Hit area is a 45 degree cushioned zone, but the top cymbal will spin round and round and round during playing - probably depending on the stand you have.- Config requires module software update, which conveniently WIPES all of your existing custom kits. Enjoy spending AGES reprogramming your favorite kits.- Comes with the customary diabolically poor Alesis instructions - which will inevitably lead you to you tube where someone who knows what their doing will show you properly. Ikea instructions are a generation ahead by comparison.- It is LOUD. sweet jesus this thing makes a racket. My neighour is thankfully tolerant of my e-drumming since she plays the piano. But with this i can sense theres a line thats been crossed.All in all, wasn't what i had hoped for. My advice - wait for the next generation of e-hi-hats of this type to come out. This is a downgrade to your standard hi-ht tridder pad and e-pedal. Stick with that, spend the money on your missus instead. The outcome will be more rewarding!
