Good model
Bought this for my grandson who's 15 and he's enjoyed putting it together, he has several similar models, probably too fiddly for younger children.

deathscythe well done
Absolutely stunning kit even when unpainted, imposing and accurate to the movie ticked all the boxes!

Really cool. Wings were harder to assemble but it's possible that's due to my own incompetence

A Great Kit With Good Shelf Presence
Being my first Master Grade kit from only building a High Grade HeavyArms I’m pleased to say the build of a Master Grade, if the EW line of Master Grades are to be considered the baseline MG kit, is more challenging and more engaging. Using what I’d learned from building HG models, such as side cutting, filing, buffing and panel lining I feel this came out pretty well. The detail the model allows and the articulation it provides are great, and the presence this thing has among other Gunpla due to its huge wings and massive Scythe is awesome - it really stands out on the shelf. It’s lost a star for a couple of things though: - Because the kit consists of darker greys and blacks, nubs from gates really need to be filed and buffed down otherwise they stick out really badly. While this isn’t bad if you have the tools (which if you’re a Gunpla hobbyist you really should have), the particular shade of grey plastic used for the legs, stomach and upper arms really shows up the stress marks where the nubs have been, even if you file and buff them to within an inch of their lives. - The joints in the knees aren’t the sturdiest things. One of the pieces that helps the kneecap separate from the lower leg when it bends is held in to the knee with a millimetre-deep lip of plastic on the inside of the knee. One of the knees will not stay in, just because there’s barely anything on the inside of the knee holding it in place and will frequently rattle loose when the leg bends. - The ball joints for the waist skirts, especially on the back, aren’t great which will cause the skirt to pop off with minimal pressure. This gets annoying when trying to pose the model. Otherwise, this is a great kit. I really enjoyed building it and it looks great on the shelf, though I think it would benefit more from an action base as the weight of the wings limit how it can pose when just standing on its feet. If you are interested in this kit, or any other Gunpla, just know you may be able to get it for much cheaper if you are willing to import it from a Japanese retailer yourself.

A Beautiful Pain, But Worth It
First off, I'm just going to say, this is my absolute FAVORITE Gundam of all time. I absolutely love Deathscythe, but Deathscythe Hell EW is by far the best in my opinion. This is my first Gundam kit in over 20+ years, but I have been researching and practicing gunpla techniques on Gundam figures for the last couple of years, so by this point I knew I could handle it. It would simply require assembly, patience and doing everything correctly. Now, you could say everything I'm going to say is objectively noob territory stuff, but I know what I'm doing and what to expect and I just want to prepare anyone new or old to gunpla on what to expect. So here goes. 1.) No matter what you do to prevent nubs(the things left over after you remove the part from the runners),it will prove fruitless on most of the plastic, especially the lighter gray parts on the legs and arms. Trust me, I cut the runners properly, used hobby knives to clean it up and sand and polished the plastic. But no matter what, the discoloration of where those nubs were will NOT go away. Be prepared to paint it if that's a problem, if not, do as you will. Just know, they will be there regardless of the effort you put in. 2.) This kit goes together easily, aside from the inner leg frame and the wings, they are a bit of a pain to piece together but nothing too terrible. It will be an inconvenience with the wings in particular, but it's manageable. Having said how easily it goes together, it will come apart just as easily. It says glue not required, but I assure you, it's almost an absolute must for just about everything but joints, since you'll actually want to be moving to pose and whatnot. Glue or plastic cement is highly recommended if you don't want random parts coming off when posing or reposing the figure upon completion. 3.) It does NOT come with an action base/stand, you will need to get one if you want aerial poses like I have. A bit annoying and a minor inconvenience, but something to be aware of. 4.) It does come with all the decals and stickers, I'm simply a "purist" when it comes to my Gundams. Whereas, if it didn't have it in the show/movie, I will not use them. But for those that love that kind of thing, there are PLENTY. 5.) For a straight build, it looks pretty decent, nothing that will make you look back twice at. It's remarkably short on any possible panel lining, so I strongly suggest advance techniques to bring out it's full potential, ie, preshading, weathering and most definitely a topcoat. 6.) BEWARE the head, the face piece will definitely NOT stay together if you do not glue or cement it, the rest of the head is kind of in the same basket, but not as bad. I know after all is said and done, it seems like a lot of complaints, but it's more or less me preparing anyone for what they'll encounter before undertaking this particular kit to more or less be properly prepared for the task. Trust me, with the right care and TLC, this thing looks sick! Just take your time and put in the work and you WON'T be disappointed. If you're an absolute fan of the anime/manga, you'll definitely want this. If you think it's cool regardless, trust me, it is. If you want a challenge, you'll definitely get it. But it's definitely worth it and as it's hard to come by, grab it when you can👍 Also, I do have stuff like this on my Instagram, swing by and check it out @lostinsetup if you'd ever like to see more like it or have questions, I'm free to answer any that people might have or you'll just enjoy the gunpla content 🙏
