Not just for gardening!
My intention in buying it was to make tufa *light weight cement for making garden containers (the granules are the equivalent of the pebbles in mortar.)I checked in a local garden centre and this bag had far less dust and seemed better quality. In terms of quantity this bag would fill one seed tray, and if you consider you are scattering it at most 5mm deep, it will go a long way.

Thoroughly recommended.
Used to cover impatiens seeds. Apparently they are difficult to grow. Watched a Utube which recommend covering with vermiculite. Planted 100 seeds, resulting in 100 seedlings. Well impressed.
