I bought these for herbs and spices (they fit 100g ground). They sealed well enough with a bit of brown paper, but probably wouldn't be tight enough to seal liquids or preserves. The wire was a little fiddly as mentioned in other reviews. I have purchased more as the size is perfect for what I needed. The jars themselves seem fairly robust and were well packed.

Value for money quality sturdy product

Quicker than advised delivery and packaged well which was great. However, the jars are in no way airtight - well at least 3 of those I received (the ones used so far) were not. Unfortunately, the seal does not meet the jar properly. To test this bold claim (just in case my eyes were deceiving me), I slid a piece of thin card through the gap once the clasp was fastened and it freely moved in and out of the jar like a council tax bill through even the most stubborn letterbox.It is a pity that, in my excitement upon receiving this new home for my latest batch of beeswax salve, I only discovered this fault once I had filled them with the waxy wood preserve. I really don't have the energy or inclination to clean them out in order to return them and for my purposes (non-food storage) they will suffice while looking pretty darn attractive. If you are storing your bead collection I'd recommend them. However, I would be wary if you are looking to use these for long term food preservation.

I have these little jars in several sizes, but from different manufacturers. All the others I have had have gone through the dishwasher with no problem, but the metal on these reacts and becomes dull and a bit rusty. I use them to prepare little puddings in advance and keep in the fridge. They do a brilliant job of that but have deducted a star because of dishwasher thing.

Hi, the jars and seals themselves are good and arrived beautifully packaged. However the metal seal mechanisms are quite flimsy and one had come off the lid and slipped at an awkward angle. We managed to carefully get it back on but as these are all going to be filled presents I am a bit dissapointed with the flimsy wire clips and a bit worried about the seal for long term storage. I would not choose this make again for that reason. The price may have reflected the quality this time.Kind regards,Ms S Vale

There is nothing wrong with the product it was my mistake to order it because I didn't realise 200mls was so small. I would have liked a 400ml/500ml jar ie a full pound in old weight for my marmalade and I am very disappointed that Argon do not seem to make such an important size.

Great value for money for a set of 6 jars. Good quality and all arrived well packaged to protect each jar. Perfect size for spices or jam.
