Just started acting up - after 2 years!
I wonder if the rest of this is a generic review or part of my original review? I am getting older and suffer from CRS (I don't remember what that stands for anymore) but there is need for an update if this was my original review. I have loved this fan since purchased in October of 2022 and it has been doing a great job... up until recently. We have a guy that helps around the place, and he recently moved the fan into the no go (too hot) zone and since then this little jewel has been a bit wonky. It wants to work, and sometimes works like it used to, and every now and then it just goes slow or randomly shuts down or not even start (reminds me of my first car). One reason I love this is when our power fails, which is a fact of life in my area, is the fan still moves air and helps heat this part of the original house. A few years back, after a blizzard (rural Colorado), we were snowed in for 2 weeks... luckily we mostly had power but I would have paid a fortune to have this with our wood burner stove during the down times. I did have this fan when we had -30 degrees (Fahrenheit) and the power was petulant... it was a WINNER!! I think I will still call/email the company and see if they have any recommendations for a fix as it makes the room much more pleasant. If I had read there was a two-year warranty I might have called a few weeks ago, but life was happening (and a blizzard). I also have a high angled ceiling that used to be a carport on the original 120-year-old part of the house and also has a ceiling fan/light combo for air movement. In the meantime, I am going to experiment with another stove fan and compare how each works (along with my Mr. Buddy and Big Buddy). (Possible original review follows??) While it may not move a bunch of air from the wood-burning stove... it is amazing how much warmer it seems in the room! I have had this running for weeks and have been pleased with the unit and will be ordering another one as a gift for a Mr. Buddy heater hack.

Magical, wisper-quiet
This thing is an enigma to me because it is pure magic. I simply place the device on my wood-burning stove and it whirls away like crazy. No batteries, no cords. It seems to draw energy out of thin air. It is very quiet as well. I feel like I am cheating the second law of thermo dynamics because it seems I have achieved continuous motion with this device. My dedicated electronic fan built into my stove is noisy and burns energy to run. This thing will work even when the power is out (which can happen during fierce winter storms here in Utah). Now I have a device to keep the hot air circulating even when the power is out. The thermostat also works well and I like having an objective measure of the temperature so I can see when I need to stoke the fire a bit. Highly recommend this magical device!

Works well on Big Buddy heater
Fan works well. Nice and quiet, but doesn't put out as much airflow as I was hoping for. Still, no power required, and distributes the heat much better than the heater alone. I get airflow as far as about 4-5 feet from the heater now, rather than 1 foot. Much better circulation with it. Happy I got it. Might buy another one in the future, as there is room and a need for two in order to get better flow.

Think wireless computer fan but quieter.
Firstly, to sort of answer past reviews. I purchased two fans as I was under no illusion as to what they are, unlike some who have purchased. If you are expecting gale force winds from these...you will be disappointed. If you expect a VERY quiet fan that moves about the same amount of air as a good 80mm computer fan, you will be happy. When these fans are running around half speed you can feel light air movement from around four feet, but you can feel the heat being pushed from three times that. In short, They arrived quickly, undamaged, work exactly as advertised, make a noticable difference in moving the heat around a 32x32x12 building, They look good and are almost silent. We are happy with the purchase so far. They have been running pretty much a solid three weeks. (edit) One year review. These made it through one season, solid 4 months operation. New season started and On first stove lighting, They both seem just as good as when they first arrived. I did replace the thermo paste before running this year though.

Works well
Going strong every winter since 2021. I use it on the wood stove and it definitely helps the house heat more evenly. Still no problems 4 years later.

Moves air and has excellent customer service!
I've owned this fan for about a year now. It sits on the top of our Jotul stove, running silently. If you're expecting this to move as much air as a big box fan, you'll be disappointed. But if you're realistic about how much air a fan the size of your hand can move, then it's great. When it's spinning at a normal speed, mine can blow out a match at about two feet away. It doesn't SEEM like such a little fan should be able to make a difference but it does. When mine broke down (see below), I immediately noticed how much less the heat was dispersed from the stove. That brings me to the best part, I think: the customer service. This little fan suddenly stopped working last week. I'd had it for just over a year by then, spinning furiously away on the top of our woodstove non-stop for at least 7 months out of the year (Maine). Bummed, but not surprised (it had been working overtime), I checked the original product listing, and saw that it has a 2 year warranty. I emailed the seller, and they responded the same day. I figured there would be some rigamarole about mailing back this fan to get a replacement fan, but instead they said that while the product is built to last, eventually the motors do wear out....and therefore their fans have a repair kit! They mailed me the kit, which arrived in about a week. It included a new motor, heat chip, and even new little screws in case any of my original ones got lost. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. You do need your own small phillips screwdriver, but otherwise everything was supplied, including a wee little allen wrench to remove the fan blades and a tiny tube of gel that is applied to help conduct the heat. It took me about fifteen minutes to fix, and I returned the fan to my woodstove. Waiting with bated breath....and then it started spinning again! Hooray! I don't know why this whole concept delighted me so much, except that we live in such a throw-away culture that I was completely astounded that a company not only made a good product but also planned ahead for how to repair the product when it inevitably wears out from steady use. No planned obsolescence here! It made me to much happier to know that only a small part of the product would end up in a landfill, rather than the whole thing. Product and company highly recommended!

Poor quality, no support
This is my second fan from the same seller. The first one lasted about two years. This one has not class it even one year. The bottom is warped, probably due to the high heat, and wobbles. Though they claim to have it two year warranty, I cannot find a way to contact the manufacturer. Possibly the company or seller has gone out of business but all links to email. The seller have been removed. I do not recommend purchasing this item.

Not enough airflow
I bought this to replace my old one, but the fan blades are so small it doesn't move much air. So I swapped the 4-blade prop with the bigger two-blade prop from my old fan, and it works much better. Because of the larger diameter, I had to make two 1/4" thick aluminum shims to put under it so the blade wouldn't hit the stove surface. Much better air flow now (why do they use this useless propeller?).

Good product once I Fixed it from stopping
Bought two of these purely because of the size of out living room. Both throw heat out really well, definitely makes a big difference. After the first purchase we purchased a second, and the second one kept stopping. It would run fine then just stop, then start again a few minutes later, and this would repeat all evening. I took the plate off the back and the two motor cables are pushed into a white soft block between the two parts of the frame. The black wire was pished ik quite close to the edge and wriggling whereas the red was tight in its place. I pulled the black one out, cleaned the bare cable down and pushed it back in further over from the edge so it was tighter and more secure and the fan bow works perfectly fine with no stopping issues.

Funktioniert enwandfrei

Brilliant little machine - quiet and very effective.
We put in our new woodburning stove and I was not too sure about the value of a fan. Wow! Not only is it a superb idea that distributes the heat brilliantly and simply - it costs you nothing to run and it is silent. If in doubt, buy this!
