This pen has the best qualities of a smooth-flowing gel ink combined with the reliability and smudge resistance of a rollerball. It dries very quickly and is, by far, my favorite pen for journaling. It's also very comfortable in the hand, even for long writing sessions. Makes me actually want to journal more.

Why bother adding to a five star review? Why because this is the most comfortable pen I have gotten to use to date, and to convince you that you’ve got to try it. It’s solid, smooth, and cushy. Beautifully designed to feel like a smooth solidly made bullet poised and ready to respond to your commands. This is not some cheap pen that will get crushed easily, Now I am happy to have the perfect counterpart to my perfectly weighted & solidly made Pentel III automatic pencils. ⭐️

I have been searching for a long time for a pen which is comfortable, writes smoothly, can be refilled cheaply. This pen fits the bill. The pen is made out of quality matte black metal and a firm squishy grip. It takes Jetstream refills, which you can buy cheaply in bulk on Amazon in different colors and points. The pen comes with a 1mm black fill. I switched it out for a .7mm blue fill. Both fills write very smoothly and easily without skipping. The shape of the pen rests very comfortably in your palm and the grip relieves wrist strain from writing. As a student, I find that I no longer have any pain in my hands when using this pen like I had in the past. It looks reallly cool in person, with a blue to black gradient effect on the grip. It weighs a perfect amount for control without burden. I love using this pen in general because the grip feels so nice when you write. It doesn't attract lint or dusst like other gel grips. I have two, one for my purse and one for my backpack. The refills are only about 1 dollar, I bought them in bulk so I don't have to worry about it for a while. I've had this pen for about 2 months and I'm extremely satisfied with it. In my opinion, its the best quality pen you can get for the money of this type. I love that it is a clicky roller ball, so it is very smooth and there are no caps to lose. When I let people burrow my pen (while I keep a watchful eye on them!), they remark that it's really cool and comfortable. I can imagine myself using this pen for a long time.

I was looking for something that had a comfy, squishy grip. Didn't even know this pen existed until I somehow came across it on another site. Looked cool enough and decided to give it a try. Was thoroughly impressed when I received it. The grip is fantastic. Unlike any other grip in a pen to date. Additionally, it is in the perfect location for the way most people would hold a pen. This seems like something that would be obvious, but I can't tell you how many times the grip of a pen would be way too high. This is spot on. The ink that comes with it is super smooth, doesn't clump, writes dark lines and doesn't smudge. For me, my favorite ink is the Pentel Energel 0.7mm. And guess what...it's compatible! No cutting or manipulation required. I disliked the handle of the Energel pen itself. Too smooth and difficult to control. Now that I can throw an Energel refill in this great, comfy pen...it's the best of both worlds. Well worth the money spent. Bought an extra, just in case I lose the pen.

As a university undergraduate student, I spend most if not all of my days at a desk with a pen in hand. As a left handed person, I very quickly realized that a quality pen is essential. After spending hours upon hours researching pens, I settled on this pen, the Pilot Acroball PureWhite ballpoint pen, and the Pilot Dr. Grip Center of Gravity ballpoint, all purported to be kings among pens. While I was not down in my expectations, this pen easily exceeded the others in ways almost indescribable. Yes, a simple pen can truly have that much of a difference. It’s ergonomic design is sleek and beautifully weighted, with a gel grip that can’t quite be described as “squishy” as in the Pilot Dr. Grip Center of Gravity pen, it’s more a soft and malleable cushion for your fingers to rest upon, and after over 6 hours writing my hand feels absolutely fine. There’s no cramping of my fingers because the ink writes darkly so smoothly and effortlessly, the fine point makes my handwriting look clear and precise, and it never smeared across my paper or hand no matter how quickly I was writing. If you’re looking for a phenomenal pen that you’re going to want to reach for for awhile, look no further. I can’t imagine it getting better than this, I have absolutely no complaints about the Uni Alpha-Gel Jetstream Ball point pen.

If you have big sausage fingers and your hands feel like they're cramping after a long period of writing, this is the pen for you. Literally look no further. This is it. Having tried numerous other pens that were popular like the Rotring, which I now believe to be severely overhyped, or the Uniball One P, which is actually very good, this is the one I settled on. The basic Jetstream ink it comes with is pretty much the gold standard for ballpoint pens, but I'm personally not a big fan of ballpoint pens. Many people would be happy to know that this pen fits a Pentel Energel refill perfectly for the utmost comfort and writing experience. Uniball One refill fits too. The only downside of this pen is that the grippy part collects lint and pet hair, but you can kind of just rub it off if it really bothers you. Small price to pay for comfort in my opinion.

This pen is a great pen. I am giving it three stars as there are just a few things that hold it back for me from becoming a 4 star pen. Pros: 1. I love the metal barrel and the color of this pen. It has an excellent weight and balance in the hand. 2. The refill is one of the best ballpoint refills out there. The Jetstream is a great, smooth writing ink that has a bold enough color that it won't get lost on the page. 3.The grip is a cool color and does feel comfortable in the hand. Cons: 1. The grip can easily collect dust and fuzz, so be weary if you put it in a shirt pocket, or leave it laying around. 2. The ink, while smooth, can sometimes glob together and get a little messy, but this is not common enough to stop me from using this refill. Other Notes: I do not typically like soft grips. I would much prefer to have a hard, solid surface to grip as I find that more comfortable. However, this grip is very good. It is comfortable, does not look like it will break down or become loose after awhile. The grip section is big enough around that combined with the grip will lend itself to long periods of writing. The ink flow makes it easy on the hand as well and helps to keep your lines clean, when it does get ink blobs that is. Overall, a great addition to my pen collection, but the ink globbing up and the grip being very attractive to fuzz and hairs call for a 3 star review as there are a lot of other options that surpass this pen, albeit without the soft, squishy grip.

Ich habe mir den Uni Alpha-Gel Jetstream (0,7 mm) für meine täglichen Notizen zugelegt. Für alle, die viel mit der Hand schreiben müssen oder beim Schreiben schnell verkrampfen, ist dieser Stift ein absolutes Highlight. Hier sind meine Erfahrungen nach einem intensiven Schreibtest (40 Seiten in meinem Notizheft): 🛑 1. DIE GENIALE ERGONOMIE (DAS ALPHA-GEL): Aufgrund einer vergangenen Sehnenscheidenentzündung ermüdet meine Hand bei normalen „Werbegeschenke-Kugelschreibern" sehr schnell und fängt an zu schmerzen. Das Alpha-Gel-Polster dieses Stifts ist hier extrem entlastend. Das Gel ist wunderbar weich, sodass der Mittelfinger beim Halten angenehm einsinkt. Man muss den Stift nicht mehr fest umklammern, wodurch das Handgelenk geschont und das Verkrampfen der Finger effektiv verhindert wird. Zudem liegt der Stift mit seinen 21 Gramm sehr wertig und ausbalanciert in der Hand. ✒️ 2. DAS SCHREIBGEFÜHL UND DER TINTENFLUSS: Die Jetstream-Tinte wird oft als "Hybrid" (zwischen Kugelschreiber und Gel) beschrieben. Die 0,7-mm-Mine gleitet unglaublich leicht über das Papier. Man könnte theoretisch ganz ohne Druck schreiben, wobei das Schriftbild dann etwas abgehackt wirkt. Ich übe beim Schreiben nur noch minimalen Druck aus, damit die Buchstaben eine schöne Kontur bekommen. Im Vergleich zu Standard-Kugelschreibern ist der Kraftaufwand verschwindend gering. 💧 3. TROCKNUNGSZEIT UND VERSCHMIEREN: Bei einem so satten Tintenfluss ist das oft ein Problem, aber hier wurde ich absolut positiv überrascht. Wenn man normal oder schnell schreibt, trocknet die Tinte sofort und verschmiert überhaupt nicht (auf meinen 40 Seiten gab es kein Schmieren). Nur wenn man den Stift sehr langsam über das Papier führt (wodurch viel Tinte austritt) und sofort gezielt fest mit dem Finger darüberwischt, lässt sich ein leichtes Verschmieren provozieren. Im normalen Schreiballtag ist er jedoch wischfest. ♻️ 4. NACHHALTIGKEIT & MINENWECHSEL: Da das Gehäuse sehr hochwertig ist, ist der Stift keine Wegwerfware. Die Mine lässt sich ganz einfach austauschen, indem man das Gehäuse in der Mitte aufschraubt. Die passenden Ersatzminen (Uni Jetstream SXR-7) kann man problemlos nachkaufen. So hat man sehr lange etwas von diesem Stift. 🎯 FAZIT: Ein fantastischer, hochwertiger Kugelschreiber, mit dem man spürbar länger und entspannter schreiben kann als mit jedem Standard-Modell. Für alle Vielschreiber und besonders für Menschen mit empfindlichen Händen, Handgelenksproblemen oder der Neigung zum Verkrampfen ist dieser Stift jeden Cent wert. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

This pen was literally the most mid thing ever , it works fine noting special about it just like every other black ball point pen THE PRICE IS ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS pls don’t buy it - I can’t even return it sadly . The squishy feature isn’t that useful and mid too JUST MID PRODUCTS DONT BUY

Sono un patito delle penne e possiedo già altre penne del tipo ergonomico (come la Pilot Dr. Grip della prima serie del 1993 oppure il modello successivo, come la Pilot Dr. Grip Equilibrium). Poi navigando su internet ho trovato anche questo modello della Uni-Ball (che non conoscevo, ma poi ho scoperto che è stata messa in commercio dalla Uni-Ball nel 2008). Su Amazon era venduta ad un prezzo assolutamente conveniente e spedita direttamente dal Giappone (13 euro la penna + 2 euro di spedizione dal Giappone). Infatti da varie ricerche mi sembra che in Italia non sia commercializzata e dovrebbe essere quindi di difficile reperibilità nelle cartolerie (ma forse anche in Europa in generale penso sia difficile da trovare): credo sia una penna commercializzata solo da Uni-Ball Japan (infatti navigando sui vari siti della Uni-Ball.com, si vede che questo modello di penna è presente solo sul catalogo della uni-ball japan). Credo quindi che questa penna sia acquistabile solo su internet (su Amazon andate sicuri). Dopo l'ordine di acquisto la penna è arrivata in circa 15 giorni ben imballata e nel suo blister originale con scritte in lingua giapponese. La penna ha un fusto in alluminio spazzolato nero (esistono in commercio anche i colori argento e rosa) con un grip realizzato in morbido gel di silicone (nome commerciale : alpha gel) dove le dita possono fare presa presa e quindi si evita la fatica durante la scrittura. Questo gel è realizzato dalla Taica Corporation (taica.co.jp): sul loro sito viene illustrato in grafica che un uovo fresco lanciato da 18 metri di altezza, cadendo su una barretta di alpha gel di spessore di 2 cm, non si rompe. Infatti l'Alpha Gel, grazie alle sue caratteristiche, viene utilizzato in vari settori, come: assorbimento d'urti, isolamento delle vibrazioni, dissipazione del calore. E' lo stesso gel che viene utilizzato sulle suole delle scarpe da corsa della asics. Direi veramente una bella penna, ben bilanciata. La scrittura con questo refill (punta da 0,7 mm e tratto linea da 0,35 mm) è veramente stupenda. Consiglio inoltre sempre su Amazon di acquistare da subito anche una scatola di refills di ricambio per questa penna (si possono acquistare anche sfusi, ma per compensare le spese di spedizione consiglio di acquistarne almeno una scatola completa da 12 refills, in questo modo si abbassa il prezzo per refill); credo infatti che nelle cartolerie non siano disponibili (il codice del refill di serie è l'SXR-7, che ha la punta da 0,7 mm e il tratto linea da 0,35 mm). Esistono comunque anche altri refills: l'SXR-10 con punta da 1 mm e tratto linea da 0,45 mm, l'SXR-5 con punta da 0,5 mm e tratto linea da 0,24 mm, oppure ancora la SXR-38 con punta da 0,38 mm (il tratto linea non l'ho trovato). I colori disponibili per i refills sono il nero, blu, rosso. Penna consigliata a chi scrive tanto, ma anche a chi scrive poco ma gli piacciono le belle penne. Successivamente all'acquisto di questa penna ne ho comprate anche altre tre in tre ordini diversi, ad un prezzo ancora più conveniente (10 euro la penna + 2,80 euro la prima spedizione, con arrivo in una settimana, 10,74 euro tutto compreso con la seconda spedizione direttamente dal giappone con consegna in 12 giorni, infine 10,43 euro tutto compreso con la terza spedizione dal giappone con consegna in 20 giorni). Mi piace testare le penne e dopo un uso di qualche giorno di questa penna, noto che secondo me il consumo del refill è un po eccessivo rispetto alla quantità di scrittura eseguita. Il refill infatti da nuovo ha 70 mm di inchiostro; dopo due giorni di uso (ho scritto pochissimo) ho consumato 7 mm di inchiostro. Questo vuol dire che il refill si esaurirà in circa 20 giorni. Ripeto la penna è ottima ed anche il refill (a livello di qualità di inchiostro), ma bisogna tenere presente che scrivendo tanto (come ad esempio fà normalmente uno studente) il refill durerà pochissimo (penso 10 giorni). Avrei gradito un refill più duraturo. La penna è costruita in Giappone. La penna pesa 21 grammi. AGGIORNAMENTO: con l'uso già di due refill, noto che quando si arriva a un livello di metà inchiostro, la scrittura non è più tanto regolare. Il tratto non è più continuo, ma all'interno dello stesso si notano delle striature bianche (cioè senza inchiostro). Se provo a tracciare una retta su un foglio bianco, si vede che l'ultima parte viene tracciata male (come se l'inchiostro stesse finendo). Queste osservazioni le hanno già fatte anche molti cliente, di questa penna, su amazon.com e altri siti in rete . Peccato perché il refill non si sfrutta al massimo fino alla fine dell'inchiostro. Tra l'altro, come ho già detto, il refill si consuma abbastanza velocemente. In definitiva questi refill devono avere un problema di progettazione nel sistema di erogazione dell'inchiostro. Confermo il difetto....ad oggi settembre 2019...l'ennesimo refill SXR-7...arrivato a metà refill lo stesso in pratica non ha più scritto. Sono proprio refill difettosi. il problema potrebbe essere causato dal fatto che si tratta di refill a base d'olio (magari dipende dalla densità dell'inchiostro). Comunque per chi fosse interessato sono compatibili con questa penna anche i refill gel della Uni-Ball. In particolare quelli della serie UMR (in pratica è lo stesso refill che monta anche la Signo UMN-207). Più precisamente i refill sono: UMR-82 (punta da 0,28 mm), UMR-83 (punta da 0,38 mm e tratto linea ultra-fine), UMR-85 (punta da 0,5 mm e tratto linea da 0,3 mm), UMR-87 (punta da 0,7 mm e tratto linea da 0,4 mm), UMR-80 (punta da 1 mm). Con questi refill non ci dovrebbero essere più problemi relativamente alla durata del refill. Sono compatibili inoltre i refill gel della PENTEL come il refill LRN5 (con punta ad ago) Io sono in attesa di ricevere gli UMR-85 che sono quelli che più si avvicinano al tratto del refill originale SXR-7
