I have one of these on the end of every hose I own. Being able to change nozzles without having to turn the water to the hose off is fantastic. These are all metal and should last for a very long time. I previously had some with plastic levers and those would sometimes break so I appreciate the lack of plastic.

I chose brass because the plastic ones seem to break every season. These appear sturdy, and function very well, but I gave them 4 stars because they are difficult to use due to 1.) Small size and 2.) stiff lever. I do not expect them to wear-in or ease up in function. Perhaps with their durability comes the difficulty in use. (Be aware that I am old and my hand strength is diminished.) I do recommend them, just be aware that they are small and stiff. The nice bonus is that they come already loaded with washers and give you extra ones in the package. You can use them at the spigot source or at the end where you would attach a nozzle. You can also use them to control the water flow if you need a gentler spray.

Best convenience for my garden hose outlets. I remove them in winter, but the rest of the year they are ideal. I use the ON/OFF for that last bit of water that can drip before really tightening the garden water outlet. I feel not tightening down hard every use saves the permanent outlet washers.
