SubZero SZ-MIX04 4-Channel Mini Mixer

I’ve found this a very handy and well-priced bit of kit. I use it for guitar and bass practice, blending the instrument with other inputs from drum machines, iPods etc., and find it very useable. There can be background noise if you don’t set it up well, but this can be eliminated with good high input levels.

Was on offer, and needed a replacement for a rather nasty Skytec unit I got as part of a package when I started building a home party set up a couple of years ago, the Skytec died at the last party so after looking around this seemed to fit the bill. I have tested it and it appears to work as you would expect. It has a nice feel to it, and seems well made, for the price I think this is a nice little mixer. Could be used for a simple Karaoke set up. This will work for a DJ Set up as well, or for a small band.. Its basic but does the job well.Even if it only lasts a few years it will have paid for itself. Would buy again.

Overall works well and decent quality. The line level was too low for my needs, forcing me to set volume to max, which increases noise levels.

Really nice piece of kit. Good quality, more controls and inputs / outputs than I will ever need but good to have that capability, plenty of controls, simple and straightforward to use. Excellent value for money, professional appearance and good quality.
