Some helpful tips and tricks
I fell for the massive TikTok ad campaign, I'll admit. But like most women my age, my belly is my biggest problem area and nothing else I've tried will touch it. I'd love to share my exciting success story but it's only been a couple of days. I'll update if/when I have results, but for now I thought I could share some of the things I've figured out that makes this easier to use.The hoop is easy enough to assemble, but of course my first attempt out of the box ended in disappointment. The trolley (for lack of a better word) would get hung up and not circle all the way around the track. I saw this mentioned in a few reviews and feared I got a dud. I noticed when I took the trolley out that 3 wheels spun freely while one didn't, so I thought that was the issue. I did apply a bit of WD-40, which didn't help. Just as I was going to try removing the trouble wheel, hoping I could get by with 3, I tried again, this time removing another link so the hoop was almost uncomfortably snug (I could still breathe and everything. It wasn't strangling me). That actually made a difference. So tip 1: As tight against your body as you can stand. Also don't wear loose clothing that can get stuck in the track.Next, it's definitely easier to start with one foot in front of the other. From there, all the YouTube videos I watched (mostly from user "hoopsmiles") say to throw the ball around you to get started. But you also have to make sure the ball stays parallel to the ground. If it goes at an angle you're sunk, and unfortunately 80% of the time I threw it at an angle. It was a real breakthrough when I tried instead grabbing the trolley connector (where the counter screen is) and just push that back around your hip, hard. Using this method I can get going 90% of the time easily. Also direction/which foot is in front matters for me. If my right foot is in front, I grab with my left hand and pull it back across my body and behind my left hip, and vice versa. That gets a good momentum going. Again, this is what worked for me. You might have to play around to discover your own method. From there, like any hula hoop, you have to move your body depending where in the orbit the ball is to keep it going. Once you get in a groove, don't overthink it, because you'll probably lose it (I do). It does feel really good to get the groove going and the ball flying around you. It seems like smaller movement actually makes the ball go faster. It's more fun to music, and trying to keep the rotations in time with the beat adds a little challenge to focus on rather than just getting bored rocking back and forth. As far as construction of this hoop, the ball is a really good weight. I imagine if it flew off mid-swirl it might smash my TV (the links connect solidly, this doesn't feel like a potential problem). It is very quiet compared to some videos I've seen. (My friend has one of those. She says it sounds like a wooden rollercoaster. This is what made me seek out a "quiet" one.) My one complaint is there is no way to adjust the length of string; supposedly the ball closer to the body makes it harder and a better workout. If I ever reach that level I could try wrapping it around something to shorten it.Is it a good workout? The box claims "30 minutes = 800 calories," which seems like a bold-faced lie. My first day I did 30 minutes (with a fair bit of stopping and restarting) and my Samsung watch said 237 calories. My second try, with less stopping, was about the same. Still, it's better than sitting on the couch. I definitely feel it in my legs much more than my abs, but again, better than nothing.I'm glad I didn't spend more, this hoop seems perfectly fine if you're not sure if it's something you'll enjoy or not.

Good product
The only thing I don't like about it is I can't find a way to buy more links. It's smaller than I anticipated and I can't use properly until I find another link or two.

It’s okay
It’s okay but I don’t feel like it really caused any improvement or anything. When you get to an i between link it’s really hard to do it bc if you remove a link, it’s too tight and hurts but if you leave the link it’s too loose and falls down

Great Idea But It’s Not Consistent
When I saw this weighted fit hoop, I was excited. I want to work on my abs and I thought this would be great for it. The product was easy to assemble. But within five minutes of using it, I realized that this product wasn’t going to work. The ball moved around my waist two times or three times then I realized that the ball had weighted down the piece that moved around my waist, stopping the momentum to go around my waist on its own. I then had to grab the ball and start over again which is very annoying. This doesn’t function properly. I would have swing my hips around so hard to make this move around my hips constantly. Watch the videos on these reviews . It looks like they are doing it easy, but you see that they stop the video after the second or third time around their waist. I love the idea of this but would only want to use it if it were consistent where I wouldn’t have to readjust it every few swings around. Unfortunately, I’m probably better off finding a good hula hoop. I really wanted this to work.

LOVE the old model HATE the new
I’m bought this weighted Hulu hoop about 2 months ago. I love it and have recommended it to so many of my friends. Unfortunately when one friend bought it she was sent a different (I think newer) model which is horrible. The picture shows mine and hers side by side. Mine is the dark pink which has a longer rope and is a bit heavier. I easily do 2000 revolutions a day without a problem. Her is the light pink which has short rope and I can barely keep it going for 4-5 revolutions. You literally cannot get any momentum with this thing. So I highly recommend the old version but the new version is just awful.

OH I DIDNT KNOW
I didn’t know there is a similar item like that is considered the right product and the one I got from Amazon is a “copy”. It’s fine and it works somewhat the same way.
