Easy To Use and Fits Perfectly
I am still building up my rack mount system but the frame and this is a start. I will be adding some non rack mount servers to it on shelving which will run the network via this unit so that I can swap connections if required. On opening, the is a very sturdy CAT6 network patch panel and comes complete with mounting bolts and a back bar to help with cable management. When I ordered this I thought it was a through put meaning it just had plugin RJ45 sockets back and front however the rear connections on this one require the wires to be pushed onto individual connections, this is likely a better option as once in place they are a permanent fixture leaving just the fronts to be swapped as needed. This panel is very well made and has a decent weight to it being produced from an all metal frame. When fitted the rear wiring takes a little work and no push down tool is supplied although it does come with covers that might be able to push the cables down with a little force, I prefer to use a proper push down tool which luckily I have ready to use.I am still in the process of wiring this up but the few that I have already done are working perfectly on a short test that I gave it.Terrific patch panel and good value, just takes a little work with the wiring.Recommended.

Reasonable price, no documentation at all though
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into much more detail, including a full overview of exactly what you get and the panel itself from all angles. However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Very, very reasonable price for a 24 port patch panel.+ Standard 1U size (just under 4.5cm tall).Things I didn't like:- Absolutely zero documentation to go with it.Do I recommend it?If you're happy enough to go without documentation, yes, it's a very reasonably priced patch panel. One thing to note is that basically everything about installation is essentially permanent, from the cabling at the back to the unremovable clips to the white labels on the front. Not a negative and pretty much par for the course for this kind of panel at this kind of price, but worth understanding nevertheless as there is no documentation to warn you of this.

Given the price I can't find a valid criticism if I'm honest.
So as per the title this review is fairly good. Is it the very best patch panel I've used? No. Is it the very best build quality? No. However I come from a background which uses military grade equipment and I'm used to over engineered components on certain items. Is this perfectly capable for a small office set up? Yes. Domestic usage? Absolutely. More than that though, is this the cheapest feeling patch panel I've been forced to use? Definitely not. Is it fine for light commercial and domestic purposes. If you're unfamiliar with this type of equipment there are plenty of resources online to help you. I'd suggest hunting some down (Youtube is a good place to start for general introductions) and seeing IF you need this level of network connectivity in your home. You might well do, if only for extra geek-points. In usage this panel works well. Syncs at decent speeds reliably and the punch down terminals retain network cable well enough for a secure connection.Given the price of this device I can't really give any major drawbacks of this panel. Once installed it becomes a mundane, often overlooked device in your network setup ... but that's what you want from a patch panel ... something that just sits there and works, quietly, unnoticed, without fuss, solidly doing it's job ... and this panel does that. Wouldn't have an issue recommending this to a friend.

Makes your network cabinet look so much neater...
This rack mountable patch panel comes in a plain cardboard box and inside you’ll find the patch panel, 4x cable ties, and 4x fixings. The job of a patch panel is to bring all of your ethernet cable connections together into the patch panel so they are all ready for connection to your switch. I then then use a small patch cable to connect the port to the switch. This makes the front of your network cabinet look a lot neater since there isn’t a lot or ethernet cables at the front of your cabinet. The patch panel is made from metal and has a matte black finish. The white label area is painted on so you can’t change whatever you write in the white areas since the white bit is permanent and not a replaceable bit of paper. The rear allows you to punch your ethernet cables into position so you do need a punch tool, or at least a small flat head screwdriver. There are loops between each section of the rear so you can secure your cables with a cable tie.I had no issues with connections with no dropouts with large file transfers. It makes the network cabinet look so much better.
