The design and quality of the build leave nothing to be desired. It's really easy to fit, especially if you already have the Doorbell fitted as it uses the original holes in the wall. You really can't expect too much from this though. The solar panels surrounding the Doorbell are very small. It really requires placing in the optimum sunny position to be really appreciated. Admittedly, mine is east facing, under a small shelter and sees the sun for only a few hours in the morning. I really don't expect much from it, but just hoping it will extend battery charging frequency. It's been 4 days and the battery is hanging around 90% which is acceptable considering the use it has, my settings for video capture and it's position.Definitely 10/10 for product quality, but don't expect it to fully charge a battery in a few hours (something even the battery charger won't do).

I have been using this solar charger with my Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) for over a week, but so far there has been no sign that it is actually charging the battery.During the daytime, the Ring app settings show that the doorbell is connected to the solar charger. However, at night it shows the doorbell as running on battery and displays the remaining battery percentage. Despite having the charger connected for a week, the battery level has continued to drop and I have not seen any evidence that the solar charger is providing any charge.At this stage, I am disappointed with the product, as it appears to be connected but does not seem to be charging the battery.

Really impressed with the solar charger.We found it easy to install and it connect to our Ring Doorbell 3 plus (make sure your device is compatible - I originally ordered the wrong solar charger 🫣)Having installed the solar charger around 2 months ago and ensuring the battery was fully charged, our battery level is still around 90% compared to probably having to charge the battery twice ordinarily.I would recommend to anyone with a Ring Door bell installed outside as it reduces the hassle of having to remember to charge the battery as often.

Needs direct sun light and only really works well in the summer this is based on a terraced house in London where it faces west so only gets light in the afternoon. The charger kicks in when the battery is around 80% and on average will keep the battery around 86 mark on a really good day. In the summer it extends battery life by around half a week so the battery only needs changing every 12 days or so.

I purchased this after having to replace my battery every 20 or so days. I didn't expect anything amazing, however this has well and truely impressed me.The setup is similar to fitting the ring doorbell to the wall, so it doesn't take long at all. It wires into the port where you'd hard wire the doorbell camera into.After fitting the Solar Charger, I tested it by replacing the battery in the doorbell for a fresh, fully charged one and even with overcast weather, it managed to keep the doorbell charged for a good 5-7 extra days. I'm now only replacing the battery once month rather than every 20 days, even with cloudy skys! When it's sunny I can get even more life out of a single battery so I'm very happy with this purchase!

Solar charging works fine, but installation was awkward, the screw holes are in different relative positions to the original mounting frame, so 4 more holes in the wall. I'm not handy with a drill, so had to pay out for a handyman to do it. He said that the rawl plugs included with the item were useless and he used his own.The unit partially blocks the signal for WiFi, the Ring app showed me that I had excellent strength before the solar mount was installed and now I have just ok strength, so if you have a sketchy connection to the doorbell already fix that first.Make sure you get the right mount for your doorbell type, this wasn't quite the right size, but we managed to get the frame to fix with one of the screws and glue

Easy to install when I ordered the correct model working realy well, recommend you check your model details to get the correct model. But a great buy no worry of battery running out now.

Pointless waste of money! Just don’t bother wasting your money, buy a spare battery instead. End of July, 2026, possibly the sunniest summer on record, but insufficient sunshine, ring video-doorbell is in full sun for 80% of the day and the battery lasts about 2 weeks.Going to explore Eufy, as Ring network has constant connectivity issues.

This was easy to install and keeps up with battery drain if located where it gets summer hours of direct sunlight.

Después de instalarlo apenas he tenido que preocuparme por la batería del videoportero. Con una buena exposición al sol mantiene la carga sin problemas y evita tener que desmontar el dispositivo para recargarlo con frecuencia. La instalación es sencilla y los materiales transmiten buena calidad. Un accesorio muy recomendable para sacar aún más partido al videoportero Ring.

Je dispose déjà des panneaux solaires sur 2 cameras stick up depuis plus de 2 ans, je n’ai jamais eu à recharger la batterie manuellement (été comme hiver entre 98 et 100% jamais moins).Il ne me restait que la sonnette sur batterie et plus le temps passait plus il fallait recharger la batterie régulièrement (environ 1 mois).Au vu des commentaires relativement négatifs sur les recharges solaires des doorbell, j’ai longtemps hésiter à la laisser comme ça ou à prendre directement le panneau mais l idée du fil entre la sonnette et le panneau me dérangeait.J’ai quand même fini par sauter le pas pour ce petit support solaire n’ayant jamais été déçu des produits ring et je peux vous dire que je ne regrette absolument pas !!A l’installation la batterie était à 26%, au bout de 2 jours c’était monté à 32% !! Par manque de patience et pour vouloir tester le maintien de charge j’ai remis une batterie à 100% pour voir ce que ça allait donner …A 100% le chargeur ne se déclenche pas et l’autonomie est descendue au bout de quelques jours à 80%, c’est à partir de là que la charge s’est réactivée, et ce jour je retrouve ma sonnette à 98% !!! Ce qui me laisse penser que le maintien de charge va être assuré en permanence comme pour les caméras. Fini les recharges usb de batterie à ne pas oublier à faire pour ne pas être en rade de sonnette!Pour info je suis en Picardie et la Doorbell 4 est exposée plein Nord, autant dire loin des conditions idéales et pourtant !!Si comme moi vous en avez marre d avoir l’impression de ne faire que ça de changer et charger la batterie, foncez pour ce chargeur !!

Ho acquistato questo caricatore solare per il mio videocitofono a batterie di seconda generazione e ne sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. L’installazione è stata semplicissima, con istruzioni chiare e tutti gli accessori inclusi. Una volta montato, ha iniziato subito a caricare il dispositivo, anche con luce solare indiretta.La qualità dei materiali è ottima: resistente alle intemperie e ben costruito, perfetto per un uso esterno. Da quando l'ho installato, non ho più dovuto ricaricare manualmente il videocitofono: resta sempre operativo, giorno e notte.È un accessorio indispensabile per chi cerca comodità e autonomia energetica. Consigliatissimo!
