works well and the volume adjust is great for a small fishery where decorum is expected. Nice neat zipped carry case prevents damage. Good value for the money.

Good quality for the price, works well, variable sound, not used in any rain yet as we’re in a heat wave at present but hopefully will work.

I've not been carp fishing for very long and thought I'd pair one of my carp rods with it. The alarm cost next to nothing but I have nothing but praise for it. It's easy to use, you can change the volume easily and it's loud enough for anyone to hear. A great little piece of kit that I would recommend to anyone starting out carp fishing.

What more can I say, It is a regular bait alarm that works as it supposed to be, it is splashproof (used under a whole day rain) and it still going great, if you want something that it is not too expensive but you also want to adjust volume and tone, this is a good item to buy, I do use them for feeder fishing (2-3 rods) so it is kinda convenient to have them. My brother also do have a set of these for carp fishing, he has nothing to complain about. It comes with a little zip pouch so you can comfortably carry it in your storage bag/Carryall. The only thing to mention is, it is made of cheap plastic, but hey! What do you expect for £10? Is it cheap? Yes Does it work? Yes Why don't you just buy one and see if it works for you?

Fantastic alarm really sensitive and loud

As a rule I don't use bite alarms but I thought I'd better have one just in case the need arose. I didn't want to spend a lot on something that not going to get a lot of use. I came across the VX2 Bite Alarm by NGT...at a price I could not refuse. This is a very compact alarm much smaller than the brick sized items I've had many years before. Black in colour it also comes with a LRV08 Alkaline battery and a very handy green nylon storage case. An easy set up with metal screw thread fitting. Variable volume and tone controls. A latching 20 second LED. Jack socket and is waterproof. It works a treat. Loud enough to wake the dead. How did I ever manage.

These are a good cheap standby. They work well, just remember to remove the batteries when not in use. Cannot guarantee they are waterproof though.

So far so good yet to catch using this alarm but it works well and is sensitive to even the slightest line movement id highly recommend adding one of these to your tackle box even as a spare from your more expensive alarms I paid £10 for mine at the time and it even came in its own little case and the battery for it
