My 8 year old daughter has blonde hair but has started to go dark at the roots. Can I use this on her to stop her hair looking like I've bleached it??

I personally do not know but I don't think I would tamper with an 8 year old's hair. If you do then this brand would probably work but I wouldn't leave it on long.

Can you use on color treated hair

I would say you could because I have used this on my hair which was only permed just over 2 wks ago, just make sure to reduce the time, I only left it on for 5 minutes and only used a 1/4 of the sachet! I had the dark blonde and its a lovely colour so much infact Im cancelling my appt at hairdressers which would have cost much more aswell.

After weeks since using this I’m left with a purple tinge in my hair. I’ve tried everything to try wash it out but won’t go or fade. what can I do

I've used this for about three years now. Yes - it's nothing like the colour on the packet - but after washing off I put on a coloured conditioner (warm coppergold) and wait for a couple of minutes before washing off (if you've got time you could wait for longer). It does counteract the purplish tinge and allowing time for build up, it should certainly lessen the problem. Good Luck! I get a load of compliments about my hair colour - even with the slight purple tinge, friends can't believe it's only a shampoo! Good luck.

Does it contain cocamide dea (a possible carcinogen, group 2b), like the marion chestnut color shampoo does?
