This solar powered birdhouse w/ camera was a hit on Christmas! I think I might have to get a second for my mom. The camera quality is great and a black-capped chickadee is already checking out the real estate. I hope she decides to build her nest in this house soon. It would be a blast to watch babies hatch! I like that the bird house is not painted and blends in nicely with my in-law's fence (as opposed to sticking out loudly). It's a beautiful house that works perfectly.

This is a quality product. The camera and solar panel work great, I can monitor the bird box on my phone. Very easy to install. Wish it was easier to open the front of the house up, you need to unscrew the 4 screws to open. Unfortunately, the bluebirds still like their old house without a camera! I was able to view sparrows making nests and was able to get rid of those nests.

I've done carpentry, so I could build a birdhouse. What was attractive about this product is that the camera is there, the wifi access is there, the solar charging is there, the camera mounts, etc.Take away the camera mount and you don't need the solar charging, don't need the wifi access, don't care that there's a camera - you're left with a birdhouse. I could build a lot of birdhouses for this price!The camera mount is fairly foolproof - unless a fool fabricated it. There is a plastic tray that holds the camera, has holes for mounting screws, and even has a hole in it so the lens has unobstructed view of the nesting site. Alas, one of the holes is on the wrong side of the tray, so the only way to assemble it all as provided results in the motion sensor looking through the unobstructed hole, and the lens looking through opaque white plastic. Not good.I could probably drill the hole, but plastic of this sort being what it is, it might be a bit iffy to do with drill bits getting hot and such. I did figure, I'll try to contact them, and if I know there is another part on the way, I'll try out drilling the hole myself. At least I'm not hosing myself totally that way, and it's right at the cusp of being too late to put the house out for the year and missing the nest selection time.They have an email / contact point. It doesn't work. I've waited four days and there is no response.The instructions say they have live chat on their site to provide support. They do - well, they have a place for a live chat. Nobody ever answers.For wont of a properly drilled part that is probably $1-3 in cost to them, I'm really faced with either deciding I just give it a go and hope I succeed, or maybe I just return the $300 item.They should answer their contact emails. They should respond to emails. They should put a living person on the other end of their live chat. Failing all that, it's a bad review and an empty nest left in their wake.

The media could not be loaded.  I currently have a pair of chickadees setting up a nest in my house. I mounted it on the leg of my back porch facing the woods. The cord is really long and even though the little top part for the camera is a tight fit it works really well for it and was easy to set up. The instructions are clear on what to do. My kids, family, coworkers and my daughter’s students have been loving watching these little ones set up their nest so far. Definitely recommend.

I love the quality of the picture, it is amazing!!!! And the ease of using the app is wonderful. Our only issue is the solar charging panel. We have to manually charge the battery every so often and we live in a very sunny climate with the solar panel facing the south with no obstruction.

Some words of warning to those considering this product:-This device absolutely does not work without a WiFi network connection. You need the WiFi to set up the device and view live imagery, but also to be able to retrieve any imagery it records.-The SD card is built-in and cannot be accessed, so all the imagery is hostage to using the app.-The motion detection is really bad. It took an obscene amount of movement to trigger a recording event.-Again, even though the camera has internal storage, it does not record unless it is connected to the WiFi.-Sometimes the camera doesn't even detect its own internal SD card. It will not record anything at all in this instance.+Video quality is decent+Live view seems to work reasonably wellThe wireless features, internal storage, and the solar panel suggest the camera is made to be mounted anywhere you'd like, similar to a game camera. This is false. If the camera is out of WiFi range, it won't work. Even when it's connected to WiFi, it rarely works. Overall, this is just not a great product in its current form.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. So excited about watching birds in the nest. It scanned the QR code for one day & hasn’t worked since. Even my son who works IT cannot get it to work. 🤷🏻‍♀️😟. So pretty much a $200.00 birdhouse.

I like everything about this product - the material it's made of, its design, its camera, ease of installation and setup. If you are a birder or just interested in watching how birds create a nest and parent their young, this product is for you!
