This thing is magic. That can be the only explanation as to how it works. I’m a hot sleeper - always have been, but especially after going through menopause. Even with air con running or in winter with the windows open, I sweat what seems to be buckets. Sheet changes every couple of days are the norm for me. I live near the beach in Southern California, and this summer has been uncharacteristically hot and humid. I’ve been waking up several times a night, hot, sweaty, and miserable. After reading many positive reviews, I decided to give this mattress pad a try. Out of the box, I noticed the fabric didn’t feel particularly cool to the touch like many other cooling fabrics on the market. The pad itself seemed to be constructed well. I popped it on the bed, put my sheets on, and hoped for the best. I can’t tell you the last time after entering my menopause era that I didn’t wake up hot, but the last few nights with this pad have changed my life. I’ve slept incredibly well, and it seems my washer will finally get a break. The pad is soft and lofty, but doesn’t add much bulk to the bed. My mattress is 14” thick, and the pad fits well. It has a bit of extra fabric that would seem to fit a thicker mattress. It doesn’t offer back support, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you won’t find it here. If you’re in search of something to keep you from drenching your bedding and giving you a comfortable sleep, you’ve found it. I can’t speak to the durability, as it’s only been a few days, but I’ll update at a later date if it doesn’t hold up to normal use and care.

Oh my god, oh my god, where to begin? So, I have this old memory foam mattress. I’m talking before cooking memory foam was a thing. It’s nice. It’s comfortable. But boy is it hot sometimes! It’s also starting to shift, like the top layer of soft foam is pulling away from the edge and you can feel the firmer foam underneath. Despite all of that, I still find it comfortable with the level of squish, especially since I’m a side sleeper and prone to herniated discs. I was in the market for some sort of mattress cover because I went to the allergist and discovered I have a dust mite and dust allergy. I figured a mattress cover would give me some protection from my old mattress while allowing me to wash away new dust. I added this one and another to my wish list, but I didn’t feel like spending that much money and just forgot about it. This bad boy went on sale for a lightning deal! That sealed the deal (pun not intended) as to which one I would buy. I got it and promptly ignored the instructions, tossing it in the wash and then drying it on low heat just in case it decided to melt or do any of the other nonsense that old school mattress covers used to do. I then put it on my bed. Oh my goodness, guys! This thing is so soft. It’s like sleeping on a plush comforter, or on a bed at a swanky hotel. It’s just so comfortable, and somehow it actually made my memory foam mattress less hot! This thing is so good that I literally slept on it one night before my boyfriend bought one for himself. He didn’t even care that it wasn’t on a lightning deal anymore, and he swears he has been sleeping better since getting it. He has your standard spring pillow top mattress, by the way. Apparently his bed used to have a memory foam topper, but it was breaking down. He replaced it with this and nothing else, and he swears it’s even more comfortable now. If you’re on the fence, just buy this thing! Oh, and it doesn’t have any of that plastic nonsense that could melt in the dryer, so feel free to abuse it. And one last thing; my memory foam mattress is a 12 incher that I have to buy sheets with deep pockets for. This thing fits like a dream.

Very very fluffy and comfy but no cooling effect; in fact I find it warmer than my previous thin mattress pad but an ok trade-off for comfortability.

I love this fluffy thing. It really makes the bed so much cozier. Does well in the washer and dryer.

This mattress topper is both high quality and confortable. It fit perfectly on my bed. It appears to be water resistant. It cools your body and does not hold hear like other mattress toppers! It's light weight and great quality! I love it! A must try!

It wasn’t as thick as I thought it was

We have a LoveSac Sactional couch that can be rearranged to make a double bed. They also sell a pricey accompanying set to make it a comfortable bed, but with my own sheets, I figured I could do better my own. I was concerned about the creases & ridges of the couch parts, and thought this would be cushy enough to mask those, without being too pillowy for guests who prefer a firmer mattress. It was perfect. The sides are a poly mix that is very stretchy and fits well. That said, we have a thicker mattress on our bed. I'm not sure how well this would hold up on our thicker mattress as it's deep enough to cover our the sides, but not enough to give a good wrap underneath. Full disclosure - our mattress pad on the thick mattress has built in elastic bands that pull the sides deep in underneath. That said, it fit the "standard" mattress depth easily, and could handle a 6-8" thick mattress. The pillow top is as hoped - firm enough but not too firm, pillowy but not too pillowy, and I liked the squares for keeping the fill in place. It arrived, as most fluffy products, shrink wrapped. I left it out overnight, still folded because I'm lazy. Then I tossed it in the dryer with a dryer sheet and a tennis ball for 15 minutes and it was perfect. My guests were surprised that the "bed" was as comfortable as a regular bed if not a little cozier (we left some of the sides and back supports attached to the couch but removed the side pillows/cushions. I bought this as part of a set with two pillows, and saved $1-2 dollars. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased, and will likely buy this for another bed in our house that gets more regular use - and has a standard thickness mattress. I don't know how well it would wash but I suspect it'd be fine since the squares aren't down. Either way, fluffing it in the dryer should help the fluff stay fluffy. The fluff seems to be a single-piece poly fill in each square, rather than a bunch of down feathers or bits of fill. It's rather like having a mini pillow in each square, if that makes sense. No loose threads, good construction, seems durable, meets our purpose, and a good value.

I didn’t want to write this review until I spent some time using it so I could be honest about it. I didn’t have high hopes for it, because of the price, and WOW was I wrong. This thing has made my bed so much softer! I work from home, and admittedly do a lot of that snuggled in my bed. Because I have lower back problems, doing this was killing me. After buying this mattress topper I barely even want to wake up for work! I could spend all day on this thing! It comes vacuum sealed, so when you take it out, don’t be alarmed at how flat it looks. I tossed it in my dryer with some wool dryer balls (tennis balls or anything that wouldn’t hurt your dryer would probably work too) and ran it through a 60 minute cycle. When I pulled it out it was so fluffy! The deep pockets fit my bed perfectly, even with the mattress protectors I already had on the bed. My sheets then fit perfectly over top. It doesn’t slide around at all! Even my dogs have a hard time not passing out as soon as they jump on the bed for the night. If you’re looking for something to make your night incredibly cozy, buy this! Now because I want to be fair in my review, I will say the only “con” I noticed is that it DOES make your bed super warm. Now this isn’t a problem for me, because I’m always cold anyways, but if you’re a hot sleeper I can see that being an issue.

I used to feel my bed springs but not anymore! Other than that it doesn’t do a whole lot. If you want your bed to feel like a real pillow top your better off buying a $300+ model

This topper is brilliant I am super hot in bed this top is so cool and lovey to lay on ,totally recommend this to any one who sleeps hot .ladies you won’t be sorry this is a game changer

I gave this product 2 stars only because it came when promised and is made of good fabric. I don’t know if it is water resistant. It does not add or detract from the comfort of my bed. I don’t really notice a difference. The same goes for the cooling effect. No difference. I bought it to provide a softer, cooler surface upon which to sleep. I am disappointed that I experienced neither.
