Macro Lens Extension Tube with Lens Body and Rear Cap for Canon EOS EF Canon1D 1Ds Series 7D 5D 5DMarkII 5DMark III etc Lens

Works as advertised. This allows you to get much closer to the subject while keeping focus. Autofocus works, after a fashion but most macro photography focus is accomplished by moving the camera as the point of focus is difficult for autofocus to resolve. The nice part about these rings is you retain full aperture control so DoF is fully adjustable while mounted to the rings. Most rings in this price range require you to preset the aperture, unmount the lens, mount the rings, and mount the lens to the rings. If you don't like the DoF, remove it all and reset. The rings themselves are plastic with metal mounting surfaces so some care should be taken when handling them. Again, you can't be too picky for the price. These are a great low cost way to start macro photography without breaking the bank and if you decide macro is for you, then you can invest in more expensive gear. If not, you're not out much and the experience will be well worth it.

So far, I've used this set only for digitizing film slides with my EOS Rebel T6i. I've used the 13 and 21 mm tubes (separately) with either a Canon EFS 18-55 mm or my old 28mm Pentax Takumar. Works pretty well, and I've had no problem with the EF or stabilizer functions. The connections between tube and body and tube and lens are pretty smooth, although the metal tabs on the tubes are not as easy to use as the big button on the camera body. It's actually the connections between adjacent tubes that are a little stiff. The metal tab on the tube closest to the camera body interferes slightly with the big lens release button on the camera body, but it's only a problem for the 13 mm tube and not a large problem even then. Since I've only used one tube at a time, I can't comment on the electrical integrity of 2 or all 3 stacked. I'll just say you should inspect the contacts closely when you open the package. Mine showed just a few small incursions of plastic over the edges of the gold on the back side of one tube. If your incursions are worse than mine, you could have trouble. They included an extra mating set of front and back covers, in addition to the set that was installed and included on the tube stack. Not expected, but useful, thanks, especially if you want to store the not-in-current-use tubes separately. The microfiber cloth seems nowadays to be a standard "extra" to throw in with any camera accessory purchase, but this one is particularly good, and all are handy. There is also a nice velvet drawstring. bag to keep the whole thing in. All very nice touches. All in all, it's a good set. Why not 5 stars? Because I still haven't tried extreme closeups with the full stack of 3, let alone a ring flash powered through the contacts. Stay tuned. ***Update*** This evening I had occasion to use all 3 tubes to magnify a small portion of one of the slides I was digitizing. The connections worked fine to drive the EF function, although I can't say about the stabilization function since my SOP is to immobilize the camera relative to the subject in such cases. Additionally, the stacked unit felt solid and there was no hint that any of the 3 would wiggle loose. BTW the red rings, which comprise the engagement mechanisms and seating surfaces front and back, seem to be made of a good quality aircraft aluminum, definitely not plastic. The black tube material may be plastic, but could be carbon fiber material; I'm not sure. I still think I will withhold the last star until I have a little more experience.

I picked this set up for fun basically and as a means to expand my creative toolkit in photography. I popped one on, went outside and with 5 minutes of trial and error started to get some pretty cool shots. I couldn't ask for much more than that. They are well made and have worked perfectly with my Canon 60D camera. I've used them so far with my two Canon EF auto-focus lenses (a 24mm prime and a 50mm prime), but I intend to try out my larger collection of Rokinon primes too when I get the time. Taking these extenders either on or off posed no problem, and all the functionality (other than lens distortion correction) you'd normally get with just the lens was there. All in all, this set seriously seems like a bargain for the price. Though some of the inner components may be plastic, everything on the outside is anodized aluminium and very well constructed.

I'm using these on a Canon t7i and manually focusing. Both shorter tubes seem to work. When I put the 31mm on my camera, it will not turn on. It was an unpleasant feeling when the camera would not turn on even after removing the tube. I had to remove the battery from my camera to get it to turn back on. These are made from a combination of plastic and metal. They are rough, but the shorter 2 seem to work ok. Shame on me for waiting so long to try these or I would have returned them.

I love these extenders. I have a Canon T6i and this fits without any issues. As per operation, your lens will have a limitation of a total distance you can actually extend it. If the camera cannot focus, there are two things that may happen(which was quite odd) 1. You may receive a false reading that your battery is dead. 2. You will get a red error screen. This will let you know you have exceeded the maximum range for your lense. Since this is definitely after market, you have to find what combinations work with each lens, that will allow your camera to function properly. For sub-15 dollars, I cannot complain about build quality. It's steardy, and tight(but not too tight) fitting, and leaves you knowing that your equipment will not detatch. I say it's perfect for what I wanted it for. It hits the spot for quality/price ratio.

For the price, these are okay. I used them on a Canon 70D with a 50mm f/1.8 STM, 100mm f/2.8L Macro, and 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6. They are very fun to take macro shots with (when they work). If youi want to get good macro at around 1:1 on a budget, these paired with the Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM is excellent. Image quality isn't much worse than the 100mm f/2/8L. Pros: - They feel sturdy enough. I'm not worried about using all 3 tubes with my 100mm f/2.8L lens falling off. - Work as any extension tubes would. - Cheap compared to other extension tubes with electronic connections. Cons: - There is a bit of play when connected together. If you twist the tubes, the lens often loses connection with the camera body and throws errors. This can get really frustrating at times. If you're on a tight budget or don't know if you will use macro tubes enough to justify spending $100+, go ahead and get these. Otherwise I'd highly reccommend spending the extra money to get Kenko or Canon tubes. Images taken with all 3 tubes on Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro.

These are really great for taking images of tabletop minis. The pictures I've got here are of a 28mm unicorn. The close up is with one of these filters - I think I've settled on the shortest one for miniature photography. The other image is using the Canon T6i's native macro function and standard lens. While the standard lens is really good for those whole body shots, the details in the minis I'm photographing just don't come out. With an iPhone 6, this unicorn came out very monochromatic; with the Canon and standard lens you can see some of the variations, but you can really see them with the additional macro lens - all the pinks and blues the artist put into this mini are outstanding! It's also helped us find errors - naked to us but under this lens completely visible. Super happy with this!

This is the second set of Macro extension tubes I purchased. I should have got this first, but since I also have a vintage Canon 50mm lens with diaphram on the lens, I can use both sets of tubes. This set, allows my modern Canon lenses to be mounted on my camera for macro work and they will transmit aperture and whatever else canon lens talk to the camera about. They have a nice quick release tab and a striking red color (which is nice for me because my other set, the one without the contacts to interact with the lens, is black and I cannot get confused). Others have stated they have had issues with the contacts. I have not. I retained both Focus and aperture when using the extension tubes. Let's go through with the disclaimers: These tubes are inexpensive, so treat them well. You bought them because you couldn't afford the once made of titanium/unobtanium alloy. You have to be gentle. The "Contacts" are a bunch of metal circles. If they are not aligned properly, your Autofocus and aperture won't work well. When shooting extreme macro, I prefer to focus manually. The camera may go a bit crazy. In fact, when using all 3 tubes, I don't focus with the lens at all, I use instead a sliding contraption that moves the whole camera back and fort. Expecting AF to work with such magnification is a fool's errand. Because these are inexpensive, always make sure they are locked in. It's not unusual to bump one of the tabs and get one of the tubes disengaged. Always check. For perspective's sake, back in the 70s, when I started doing macro photography with my father (Using an Exacta Varex, no less) we purchased both a bellows and a set of tubes similar to this one. Both of them cost us almost as much as the camera itself. These gadgets used to be very expensive. Seeing them for $15 was a surprise to me. So whatever problem you may have with them, remember that they use to cost a small fortune. I also own a set of macro tubes that have no contacts. I use them with my 80s vintage reversed lens. Those are about $5 cheaper and there is a trick to lock the aperture before taking a picture. Don't buy them. The acrobatics one has to do to lock an automatic modern lens into a given aperture requires hand/eye coordination worthy of a .400 hitter. Buy these instead of whatever you can afford that has contacts from lens to camera. Worth every penny.

Funcionamuy bien, facil de instalar y cada modulo te da un tamaño distinto de manera que son varios macreos de alguna manera. Es importante entender que no es una le te macro por lo tanto corta el tamaño del sensor pero aun así puedes cerrarte un poco digitalmente

Very very angry! The first lens is currently stuck on my 18-55mm lens. It can not be removed while the other two are working well. I will have to go see a specialist to try to recover my lens which will cost me more than this purchase. Who will pay me back? Très très faché! Compre el producto con una expectativa baja y me sorprendió, mi cámara es una Canon T6 y funciona el autofocus conectando los 3 tubos, con un pequeño falso de repente, conectando dos está de lujo y pues uno lo ideal para las fotos que tomo (dentales). Buena compra y claro que me compraría otro y lo recomendaría, no se que diferencias hay entre los otros, el pro y este, pero este me funciono super bien

Muy buen producto, utilicé los 3 tubos juntos y la cámara funcionó perfectamente (es una Canon 6d); al principio me costó trabajo medir las distancias de enfoque, pero una vez solucionado esto, excelente.
