This mantel looks amazing and is a solid built piece. I wasted to much time looking around for a mantel because I thought this one was going to be cheaply made do to the amazing price. Should have bought it right out the gate, but at least I looked around. It was packaged very well. It was "very easy" to install myself, and I only have basic home fixing skills. Everyone has an opinion and receives a different item, so there is a good chance a few of them might not work according to the poor reviews. However, that is why most stores have return policies. We all just hope were not the one that gets the bad item, but that is life. Don't be scared away from this product because of poor reviews or the amazing price.

Of course it's not real wood but design is beautiful and it works perfectly around our gas fireplace.

Fireplace Mantel was just as described. However, the mantel came damaged due to the strap around the box being too tight from whoever shipped it. I was not home during at the delivery time, so I was unable to check for damage prior to the delivery person just leaving it on my porch with the damage. Overall the Mantel looks Great and I will definitely be buying more on the next house flip. Thank You.
