Does exactly what itโs supposed to would recommend!
We just moved into a new place that has crank open windows and I must say I am satisfied with the quality durability and sturdiness of this product! The adhesive that they supply with it worse very good and the price was well worth it as well! It fit just like it should although I highly recommend you double and triple check your measurements! I would recommend this to my friends for sure

Works Perfectly For Crank Out Window
Works perfectly for my older swing out window. I don't have central air and my room is upstairs so it gets pretty hot in the summer, too hot for just fans. I'd given up on using a portable AC because of the difficulty sealing off this type of window but this seal did exactly what I needed it to do. I highly recommend this kit!

Gets the job done!
Held up in full sun for entire summer. If you shut off your ac when it is humid, the adhesive may release on one side. We found that reinforcing with weather seal tape addressed the issue. It gives enough extra that you can easily fit it in a window. I recommend installing from top to bottom and on the straightest part of your window first. It is not hard to install, but it depends on your ability to peel carefully and how well you have cleaned and prepared the area. It did a good job of keeping the heat out, but I recommend also purchasing an insulating sleeve for the AC unit inside to get the full benefit. It is the same thickness aso one of those stuff in a tiny pouch windbreakers. So it's thin, but does what it needs to do. Good value for the money.

Works!
Not easy to figure out how to use an ac unit in a window like this! We have an old house so these crank completely out. So both sides need to be sealed. It wasnโt difficult to install, just use the adhesive to apply all around the window frame and then velcro the plastic pieces together. It doesnโt look the most attractive from the outside but itโs better than dying of heat! Thereโs normally No leakage but if there is a heavy rain, the way it seals together on the top of the window creates a pocketโฆ so it will start to get filled with water and can leak down the sides a bit. How to solve that is to raise it up making a pitch in the plastic so it drains off the sides so it wonโt collect there. The zipper opens large enough to attach the hose through. It really is the best solution for this weird type of window. Ok, the only one! Haha

This is a great addition to our home!
We have 2 dogs and we tend to leave the sliding glass door open so they can come and go. We installed one of these to keep the bugs out. It keeps the bugs out, it was super easy to install, and it's tough (the dogs are in and out all day, sometimes they are going at a high rate of speed). Our dogs are smaller but our neighbors 140 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback also comes and goes and the adhesive hasn't come off and they haven't been able to claw it down or put holes in it. An added benefit - it also helps keep the heat out. Love it so much we also put one up at our river house. Fantastic to not have bugs and flies inside.

Glue melts in sun - not a good seal
the velcro strips got unglued as the window was in the full sun. Resorted to duct tape to stop the daily gapping. Too late to return. Bought Martinson's plexiglass insert - expensive but does the trick

A godsend for apartments with weird windows
This literally makes it possible for me to run an AC in my weird apartment. Dunno what I'd do without it. I'm cozy now thanks to this thing.

Updated: Downgrade from 4 stars to 1 - quality/longevity is horrific.
2nd Update after 2 months of use - Downgraded from 4 stars to 1. The quality of these things are pathetic. I have it in a high use area but we literally just walk through it - no running, pushing big objects through it, etc. - and it has ripped a TON! There are holes scattered throughout the plastic and the side ripped where it attached to the Velcro in about a 2 foot section. The one we have in a less high traffic area has the holes, too, but hasn't ripped YET (I haven't had it quite as long so I am not holding my breath). I had to tape it up and now it looks terrible. I would expect these to last longer than a couple of months. They work for awhile but simply don't hold up. It's a shame, too, because as you can see below I loved the product so much at first I bought a 2nd one! Update - I actually am so happy with this product I bought a 2nd one. Too much cool airneas escaping from our bedroom when we propped the door open each night for our cat. Unfortunately if we don't leave it open she will scream at the door all night to have access so this is the perfect solution! Only drawback is sometimes she gets fiesty and runs full speed into the one we currently have and it is quite loud! Hopefully she won't this time but something to be aware of if you have pets. I am actually surprised at how efficient this thing is. I was afraid it would be so-so but it works pretty well. The Velcro used to hold it to the door frame is pretty strong and the magnets that hold the opening together are, too. Only reasons it didn't get 5 stars are: I got the clear one and it has this horrible, old looking lace detail along the top. I genuinely don't understand why. It wasn't mentioned in the product description that I could find and it is in the photo, but not very noticeable (especially on a mobile phone). It doesn't make the product less effective, just ugly. Second, the Velcro around the door frame peeled off in a section. We got it back up, but it didn't stick well at first. Third, it's SO LOUD. I suppose it makes sense, but when you are taking it down or putting it back up and adjusting, the noise is crazy loud. I wouldn't have even really paid attention to this previously, but I have a newborn who was woken up from a nap by it when my husband put it up one day.

Wife approves...
Had it for almost a week, little bit bigger than my door frame I installed the adhesive velcro on the wall just outside the frame. Probably will take some paint off when it comes to uninstalling one day, but I am ok with it. Likely just replace it with a new mesh so not to worry. Most importantly, my wife approved it......

does the job
fairly easy to use and put up. Wish that there were more magnets along the center to hold it together better.
