Easy to swallow, great value
These Vitamin D3 tablets are great value with a full yearโs supply in one bottle. The tablets are small and very easy to swallow, which makes taking them every day effortless. Theyโre made in the UK, suitable for vegetarians, and the high-strength dose is ideal for anyone looking to support their daily vitamin D intake. Very happy with the quality and would happily buy them again.

High strength vitamin D thatโs easy to take and actually made a difference
I started taking this vitamin D after my blood tests showed my levels were low, which honestly wasnโt a surprise. Especially living in the UK and spending a lot of time indoors in the winter. One of the main reasons I went for this one was the strength. 4000 IU felt like the right option for me, and I also really liked that itโs a full year supply, so I can just take it daily and not think about it. Iโve been taking this alongside my iron supplement, which is also from Nutrition Geeks, and Iโve been really happy with the brand overall. I feel that together theyโve made a noticeable difference. My energy feels better, especially in the mornings, and I donโt feel quite as wiped out by the end of the day anymore. The tablets are tiny and very easy to swallow, which I really appreciate, and Iโve had absolutely no side effects at all. Theyโve been very gentle for me. Overall, this has been a really simple and effective way to support my vitamin D levels. Great strength, easy to take, and excellent value for money considering it lasts a whole year. Iโll happily buy from this brand again.

Read up on why you do not stack supplements on top of each other.
Nutrition Geeks Vitamin D3 4000 IU Review Vitamin D is an essential nutrient that helps maintain healthy bones, teeth, muscles, and immune function. Many people in the UK have low vitamin D levels, particularly during autumn and winter when sunlight exposure is limited. For those who are deficient, a 4000 IU vitamin D supplement may help restore and maintain healthy levels. Why You May Need It โข Limited exposure to sunlight, especially during winter months. โข Spending most of the day indoors. โข Older age, as the body's ability to produce vitamin D declines. โข Darker skin tones, which produce vitamin D less efficiently from sunlight. โข Medical advice following a blood test showing deficiency or insufficiency. Why You May Not Need It โข You already have adequate vitamin D levels. โข You regularly spend time outdoors during sunnier months. โข You already take other supplements containing vitamin D. โข Your doctor has advised a lower dose. The Risks of Taking Too Much Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, meaning excess amounts can accumulate in the body. Unlike water-soluble vitamins, the body cannot simply excrete large amounts through urine. Long-term excessive intake can lead to vitamin D toxicity, resulting in dangerously high calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcaemia). Symptoms of Vitamin D Toxicity โข Nausea and vomiting. โข Loss of appetite. โข Excessive thirst. โข Frequent urination. โข Muscle weakness. โข Confusion. โข Fatigue. โข Constipation. โข Kidney problems. In severe cases, excessive vitamin D intake can contribute to kidney damage and kidney stone formation due to elevated calcium levels. Be Careful When Stacking Supplements One of the biggest mistakes people make is taking multiple supplements containing the same vitamins and minerals without realising it. For example, vitamin D may already be present in multivitamins, calcium supplements, cod liver oil, bone health products, and fortified foods. The same applies to other nutrients such as vitamin A, iron, zinc, magnesium, and selenium. Taking several products together can result in intakes far above recommended levels. More Is Not Always Better Many people assume supplements are harmless because they are sold over the counter. However, excessive supplementation can place unnecessary strain on the body and may increase the risk of side effects or toxicity. Before adding a new supplement, it is sensible to check the ingredients of everything you already take and calculate your total daily intake. What About Bright Yellow or Orange Urine? Bright yellow urine is commonly caused by excess riboflavin (vitamin B2), which is often found in multivitamins and B-complex supplements. While this can indicate that your body is excreting excess water-soluble vitamins, it is not generally considered a sign of liver or kidney damage. Changes in urine colour, smell, or appearance can have many causes, including dehydration, foods, medications, vitamins, and medical conditions. Persistent changes should be discussed with a healthcare professional. Final Thoughts Nutrition Geeks Vitamin D3 4000 IU may be useful for people who genuinely need additional vitamin D, particularly those with low levels or limited sunlight exposure. However, it is not automatically beneficial for everyone. Taking unnecessary supplements, combining multiple products without checking their ingredients, or assuming higher doses are better can increase the risk of unwanted side effects and, in some cases, serious health problems. The safest approach is to understand what you are taking, avoid unnecessary duplication, and use supplements to address a genuine need rather than taking them "just in case".
