Black Mountain does make this pick with an extra tight spring to keep it secure if needed, like for small thumbs. The sound quality is mellow and with firmer strum or pick, the volume will increase if needed. Playability is very versatile. Found the thickness perfect. Great value for the money? All of these features plus the comfort of using makes this pick one of my favorites regardless of the type of music I’m playing.

I suffered a stroke a few years back that affected my ability to hold a pick while playing. The problem I have is when playing a tune on my guitar, I will unknowingly "let go" of the pick and drop it or it will spin in my fingers and I have to stop playing to adjust, just my new normal. I have tried a different grip and used many different types of picks but had to settle on using Gorilla Snot on my picking thumb and index finger. The Gorilla Snot works pretty well when I use very thin picks, been using it for years now, but I end up with the sticky stuff on my strings where my pick makes contact making it not ideal. I am also limited with using my index finger and thumb for anything else until I clean the snot off. I figured I would try these picks to see if they would help, and so far, so good! I had to adjust the plastic that goes over the thumb to make it more comfortable, but it stays on without issue. It will take a little time adjusting to the new pick, it is thicker than what I am used to playing with and I have to get used to a new pick angle on the up stroke, but those changes shouldn't be too hard to make. Great solution for people like me that deal with the effects of a stroke!

I held off buying these for a while because I felt they are too expensive compared to other combo picks. But I finally broke down and bought a 3 pack. Well I'm here to tell you - it was worth it. I've been using the Herco combo pick, which I do like too. But I've always felt the Herco pick sits too high up my thumb. And that has kinda hindered my ability to use as a conventional pick. But these BM picks are much more flexible on exact thumb placement. So they allow me to keep rather high up on my thumb, closer to tip. I like that because when I want to use as a regular pick it makes it more natural for me. So yes, I'm now a true believer. These are now my go to combo pick, even though I need to spend around $7 a pick. It's worth it for me.

I wasn't sure about ordering this, but did and am glad I did. It fits great on the thumb without hurting. My thumb is rather large, and all other thumb picks that I have use, were always to tight. This is very comfortable, making focus more on playing the guitar that worrying about the thumb.

I have been using this pick for a few months now and have to admit there is a decent learning curve and takes some time to get used to it. It is definitely pretty versatile and comes in handy when thumb picking the bass notes but I think my preference is still with my old finger pick for most songs. Maybe it would be a better pick for someone to learn on who is just starting out. One nice part is that I don’t ever drop it.

Greatest thumb picks on the market!

After breaking both of my arms a few years ago and having to teach myself to play again, i ran into the issue of not being able to hold on to picks. This solves that problem. I only wish there was a gauge in between the light and the medium. The lights tend to break easily, and the mediums tend to break your strings. Come on black mountain, make us a light-medium, or a medium light...

Finger tips are numb most of the time however using this pick allows me to strum comfortably and the pick remains on the thumb securely while playing. Great product.

This suits me as a beginner strummer. It's been a pleasure to use it and helped my playing a lot. Easy playing with minimum wrist movement good for older players

I was bitten by a dog and substained a significant thumb injury with little feeling in it and that makes it impossible to hold a pick or play with my thumb. These picks saved my guitar playing! I can now play both styles with this pick. It does take a little getting use to...

The spring loaded pick is uncomfortable around the thumb! The order was for light gauge picks and there is no way they are light! Medium at best! Sending back

Just got these picks. They fit excellent and stay on without issue. I'm sure once i get used to them they'll give me more options while playing. So far, love them. Great communication with seller. Top notch.
