Creamy Gravy for Meat (Rahm-Sosse) 1.75L

I love my German seasoning

Ordered this as a surprise for my German neighbor. She used this gravy when she had me over for Thanksgiving dinner. It was very good and she was sad that she had used up the last of the box she had brought with her from Germany. Unfortunately, the package was damaged in shipping.

Good German product. Makes excellent gravy! Unique taste.

Good flavor and color- great base for sauces and gravies- just a little goes a long ways though- had to keep adding liquid- mixed with mushrooms and a little sour cream makes an excellent stroganoff sauce.

Usually, I use the better than bouillon brand paste, water and a little heavy cream, or ideally the actual juices from the roasted meat, but this is a nice shortcut. I use a lot more powder than the ratio calls for, though, because my husband really loves salte umami taste.

For an American, I can make a great pork or chicken schnitzel. For years I have tried to make a gravy that reminded me of the Jagerschnitzel I would get at the gasthouses in Germany. This was really really good. Was it the same? I don't know. It was really really good though! I've used it 3 times now. After playing with it I use more water than they call for, I saute mushrooms ahead of time to add, and I add a little heavy cream at the end. I saw this sauce before I saw they make a Jagerschnitzel sauce also. That's now in my shopping cart and I'll review that once I've played with it a time or 3.

This is one of the best gravy mixes out there. Delivery took a while due to the COVID situation and it having to get shipped from Europe but it was sent promptly, well packaged and arrived earlier than expected. I will order again!💯👍
