It states right on the package, "Keep Refrigerated." I always keep my package(s) in the refrigerator. There is no reason not to. It will definitely keep it fresher by doing so. That said, it will be mailed to you without refrigerated packaging and likely it goes at least 30 hours with refrigeration at that time. Apparently, it doesn't hurt or kill the culture, although I would not order this through ordinary mail during the hot summer months.

Q: Anyone use the instant pot to make yogurt, using euro cuisine starter?

Yes! I use this in an instant pot with 1% milk, not ultra pasteurised. Just regular pasteurised. I use 84 ounces of milk, and a pack and a half of Euro starter. I boil, cool a little less than an hour, until the milk is between 115-120 degrees F. Then, I put in the starter and whisk for 2 min. Then, back in the instant pot for 9 1/2-10 hrs. (I like my yogurt sour. 8 hours would be fine if you like it milder. Then I stir it and strain it in the refrigerator until it gets to my preferred thickness. I doubt you would have to strain it if you used whole milk but I can’t do that for health reasons.
