Makita RT0700CX2J Power Router/Trimmer

I still can't find the chainsaw, where is it lol? Love this bit of kit. Only has a two pin plug so for U.K use you need a adaptor.

Great item, worth it weight in gold, so versatile. Wouldn’t be without it now.

Ideal for what I want.

Amazon delivery was good, although the estimated delivery date was missed and it arrived a day later. The router is well built, as you'd expect, it has some good features and seamlessly moves between the different bases.Two points to note for prospective buyers however are that it comes with a molded 2 pin plug which needed to be cut off and replaced with a 3 pin UK plug (not an onerous task) and that it is supplied with a 6mm collet NOT a 1/4" as I had assumed. A new collet was about £7 delivered but obviously took another couple of days to arrive!

The makpac box arrived completely damaged.Rest of the items were scattered in the package. I double checked and there are no missing parts.Fortunately the router and its parts only have minor scratches not affecting the use. I've only made a visual check and turned it on/off a couple of times to be sure.After chatting with customer support, they told me: as this is a "pack", the box alone can't be reimbursed/replaced. I preferred to not send the router back because that would mean +3 weeks without working.I reduced 1 star because the broken box (which is not so important for me).And reduced 1 star because there was not at least a partial reimbursement or discount or possibility of replacing it alone.If you have no problem with the green box state, go and buy this pack, it is a great router.
