Flexible and comfortable
In the last few years I have tried a number of different brands of wellies having abandoned Hunters because of the poor quality and durability. It has, however, been difficult to measure up to the fit and comfort of Hunters. I wear my wellies most days for walking the dog and around the yard with the horses, so they are an important part of daily life. Getting the right pair has become a bit of a quest. I couldn't stretch to Aigle Parcours or Le Chameau, so I wanted to give these a try as they were in line with my budget. The first thing to say is that they are very light and flexible, so the issues of the rubber perishing around the ankle or main areas of flexion in the foot is unlikely to come up. The grip is good with a deep tread that is also easy to clean. They are quite snug around the calf (I don't have slim calves), which is a good thing but if you have cyclists calves, they may not fit. Having said that, they do seem to mould to your leg, so if they are tight initially they will give a bit. They are quite narrow on the foot and the sizing is not generous. My usual size is only just big enough although I have put sheepskin insoles in them. They do not pull my socks off, which my last pair did, which is a relief. The one downside I have noticed is that they are definitely not as warm as my last pair either on the leg or around the foot. I can see that in snow or icy weather my feet will get cold quickly and there isn't enough room to put either thick or liner socks in. Overall good value for money and hopefully durable too.Quick update - over 3 years in and the treads don't show any signs of wear despite near daily use for walking the dog, mucking out, wading through mud etc etc. Sadly I have managed to put a hole in the top of the foot but I think this is me dropping something on them rather than them perishing. A seriously durable pair of wellies and worth every penny.

Large At The Heel
Well fitting up front but loose and unsupportive at the heel.

Skinny calfs rejoice!!! Get these!!!
PERFECT FOR - Skinny calfs and standard to wide feetAfter keeping my Amazon delivery driver really busy trying to find the perfect boot for what seemed like forever these babies arrived!I have fairly wide feet / high instep / 34cms calf / Size 8Read the reviews about Aigle coming up large so ordered the 7.5 as I wanted to wear shooting socks with themWhen they arrived they said 41 on the bottom which is a 7 in my book?Slid on like a hot knife through butter I usually struggle to get my foot in and it gets stuck just above the ankle but these are really roomy at the crucial point!Really roomy in the foot (if I wanted to wear only with thin socks could prob have gone down another size?) the rubber is really flexible so nice and comfyWith jeans and thick socks you could get 1 finger down the top so nice and neat and quite lady like as not overly thick and bulky in the foot (they looked tiny (to me) when they came out of the box to the point I was like they are NEVER going to fit!)Have comfortably worn with: just shooting socks shooting socks and a sheepskin insole normal socks plus welly socks on top plus sheepskin insoleI previously ordered the Aigle Chantebelle and whilst they were nice boots and a good fit on the calf (definitely order a size smaller) the grip on the bottom wasn't suited to walking across muddy fields it was more of a 'town' bootWill report back as to how long they last! Fingers crossed its longer than the 6 months that Hunters can only just manage!(narrow feet skinny calfs may find them 'baggy' in the foot and ankle/lower leg)

Great comfortable boots.
I bought these as i enjoy walking and dog walking but some areas are too muddy and wet for regular walking boots, plus i wanted something i could slip on and off. I went on recommendations and im so pleased i bought these. Im a regular UK size 9 and these fit as expected. Roomy enough to fit an insole inside and a thick pair of socks but also ok to wear on their own. They are slim on the leg which is good for me and the rubber seems quite pliable which again makes them feel quite light and a pleasure to wear. They are warm compared to my other wellies and I have tested how waterproof they are on a few occasions and no leaks at all. The main points for me is that you could easily wear them on longer walks as they are so comfortable. Then the last bit....when it comes to taking them off, they slide off so easily. I dont know what they are lined with but it makes it really easy slipping them both on and off. They take a few days to come but they are hand made and shipped from France and come to the UK through Frankfurt but they are definately worth it. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for..
Top quality boots! Ones ordered from a different seller arrived in a poly bag, taped up and just looked & felt wrong, these are the polar opposite, well packaged, official box & tags and the quality is clear to see. On track record these boots should last well but I will give an updated review in six months. I wear wellies pretty much daily for dog walks & around our stable yard, so they get a good work out!
