ALUMINIUM CAR WINDSCREEN/WINDSHIELD FROST/SNOW/ICE PROTECTOR COVER

Bought a previous version for an older car and it was excellent. To tailor it for the windscreen I've used gaffer tape, putting a 'dart' (for those of you who sew) into the centre of it and that lasted until I sold the car. The new car has a much bigger windscreen so I bought a replacement cover but unfortunately it's far less substantial - thinner and cheaper material. On the plus side, at least it doesn't stick to the windscreen unlike a nylon one I had. I again used gaffer tape around the edges - particularly the wings where it's trapped in the doors - and that did the job until a recent storm. If I do buy another I'll be spending a similar amount on tape to go over it and stop it tearing.

I bought this to replace my previous cover (exactly the same), which I'd had for many years, in spite of having been given a more expensive but flimsy cover as a gift at Christmas. This is a brilliant windshield protector and good value for money. The only down side is that whereas my previous cover had an elastic loop attached to keep it neatly rolled when not in use- there is nothing to hold this together and it can be a bit unweildy, putting a drippping unrolled cover into a dry car.

Only used recently so in winter in the UK. I have a 56 plate Honda Civic and it fits well with slight overhang with the doors but it is very easy to get this to lie flush on the windscreen, simply shut one door and pull so it is taught and shut the other door. On the few nights when there has been heavy ice the protector did the job - I whipped it off and drove away without scraping which is all I care about.Cheap, simple and effective.

I like the shape, fits great with the bars which link behind the door to stop theft. The silver outer lining is good for frost and sun protection and there is a foam backing which I can only guess is to give some cushion to the screen but it does retain water on the surface so takes time to dry out even after being shaken. Still a good product and suits the job.

Arrived in really good time. Having such mild weather haven't needed to use the screen yet but forearmed ready for the cold snap that inevitably will arrive.It looks to be perfect in shape and size and ease of use. Very easy to roll up and store. Well made, would recommend.

i chose this cover for various reasons. it is small enough not to drown my Fiat 500. light to pack away and it fixes by flaps which are closed inside by the doors. works a treat but must be handled with care as not too sturdy. good service from sellers, cover well packed and arrived promptly.

These are great! the extra bit of insulation does stop the frost efficiently, saving time and effort. Highly recommended.
