My child been using these, and a few other brands of water bottles for a while. The Ion8 has by far the best water bottle design for children. Kids have no trouble quickly opening and closing the lid correctly such that these bottles will never, ever leak! Even more impressive is that this leak-proof design has no hard-to-clean small parts, or silicon seals. These bottles stay clean and are also super easy to clean.The metal bottles are the best ones, they look great and last forever. We've found that the hard plastic bottles from this, and other brands, never seem to last more than 6 months of mild abuse before cracking, but with metal, cracking is not an issue. If banged around -- a child's backpack is a rough environment for water bottles! -- the shiny exterior can chip and the metal can ding but that's to be expected. This is for the 1.0 models, haven't tried the 2.0 yet. These are absolutely fantastic bottles for children (and grown-ups too).

I bought this specifically for use in the car. It works brilliantly for me.The capacity is decent enough for most journeys. It's narrow enough to put into the centre console holder (though I have it in a 'stubby holder' to take up the slack / stop any rattle). The press-button-cum-flip-top lid springs opens brilliantly with one hand, and the narrow spout is easy to swig from safely whilst on the move.Out of the car ... the rubberised cap is very easy to grip to undo for a refill, and the coarse thread is easy to screw / unscrew. The neck is wide, which makes it really easy to refill and straightforward to clean. The carry ring flips out from the lid, so it's out of the way when not in use but it's easy to hang the bottle off one finger when carrying a bunch of other stuff to the car.I've only stored it vertically so, although the lid seal seems secure, I can't comment on how well it would work if, say, it was chucked any-way-up into a rucsac.Overall it's a really nicely designed water bottle that (I think) comes in other sizes, and in some funky colours.

Easy to use water bottles, look good, and slim bottle so it can easily be slotted into a school bag. My kids love them. They are leak proof but once we lost a small seal from the lid, after which the bottle did leak. Contacted ion8 directly and they sent us out the spare seals immediately, which solved the leaking problem. The only disappointing feature is the bottles do scratch quite easily and start to look worn out if not handled with some care, but for the price, I will definitely buy these again for all of my kids.

I was looking for a leak-proof water bottle that I can operate with one hand, without a straw and opted for this one. It's exactly what I wanted and works really well. With a simple lock that can be flicked off with your thumb, and simple catch that flips the lid open with a light press, it's exactly what I wanted. The fact that it's so simple means it's really easy to clean, unlike bottles with an internal straw that seem to be everywhere at the moment. There is no insulation so it's nice and lightweight and maximises capacity for the size. This does mean that you get condensation on the outside with really cold drinks, and it's unsuitable for hot drinks, but for my purposes, that's no problem. As a bonus, there's a good selection of colours available too!Really happy with this bottle and would be happy to purchase again.

Nice color and quality

Not durable, bought the metal one, son took to school for 2nd day of having bottle, accidentally dropped it and it has a hole in it and now leaks. Maybe pick a different one if you’re buying it for children!

Really nice looking product but bit of a design flaw on the drinking lid. There's another small hole at the top, presumably intended for hot drinks. However needs to be covered up when drinking, otherwise the contents will spill over you.

I find it keeps the contents nice and chilled for a fair amount of time. The only very slight niggle is when drinking you sometimes get some of the contents coming out of the small breather hole. Not sure if that is me and how I’m drinking or just a thing with this type of container. I’ve also dropped it a few times and being mettle is still working well, albeit with some battle scars.

I was looking for something short and slim that would hold at least 18 oz and most importantly does not have the part where you would drink from uncovered/exposed like other small bottles do- why would anyone want to put their mouth on a part that is not covered and potentially exposed to dirt etc? Anyway I looked at over a dozen similar sized ones and this one checks all the boxes for me.

I bought this for a trip to Japan because I was specifically looking for this size bottle and was so disappointed! Who knew you needed to read reviews on water bottles! This bottle is not double-insulated which means that it doesn't keep your water cold AND the exterior of the bottle gets extremely cold and sweats liquid all over your bag. The lid does lock well though if you don't care about keeping your water cold on very hot days. Otherwise, I do not recommend it.

I didn't do my research. This was smaller than anticipated and it is not insulated and doesn't keep the drink cold for long. Also, lots of condensation. The lock gets in the way of drinking as well. BUT, I do love the color!

Gekocht voor mijn dochter van 5 en het is een prettige fles! Formaat is fijn want hij past overal makkelijk in maar tovk 600ml. De dop is voor haar makkelijk te openen en hij lekt niet!De fles zelf kan naar mijn idee gewoon in de vaatwasser, enkel de dop was ik ivm de rubbers handmatig af.Als je een alternatief zoekt voor een plastic schoolbeker is dit in mijn ogen een aanrader.
