After multiple lost cords and devices due to my bunny, I found a solution that works. Behind his pen is an outlet that feeds a Blink camera that allows me to check in on him when needed. It’s the perfect vantage point but the outlet location is less than desirable. The camera comes with a traditional wall block with a USB port that plugs traditionally which leaves the wire exposed away from the wall. I tried to block access with his litter box and hay bag but while quickly filling his hay bag, he took advantage of the more open access and chewed the cable. I knew I needed to find a sturdy solution and this is perfect. It has plenty of room for traditional plug housing but I did buy a slim vertical USB plug for inside. It was SO easy to mount with a flat head screwdriver. Within five minutes, I had it set up and the camera back online. I am now back to purchase another cover for the outlet across the room. In my case, my bunny can’t open the safety box so I dislike having to have a “key” or paperclip to open but it’s not a huge inconvenience for the protection it provides. This would work great for curious children and even for chewing, teething puppies but most fantastic for bunnies who like spicy wires!

I've now bought two of these for my 15 month old child's room since I was so happy with the first one! He's both clever and strong, so I wanted something he wouldn't be able to brute force to keep him from unplugging the air purifier. So far it has stood up to all of his attempts to get into it and he's now finally lost interest in trying. It feels very stable and secure, and it's even a bit hard to get into with the included key, I prefer to use a sturdy paperclip unfolded. This is large enough to accommodate charging blocks for things like usb cords, and I keep the cord to the purifier folded up inside of the case. It's hard to tell from the listing, but the front is a crystal clear window, so you can easily monitor the safety of what is plugged in. Since it is difficult to open and must be unlocked deliberately, definitely be sure you have fire safety in mind!!! But this is perfect for childproofing outlets

This was great! Setup was wonderful my giant wifi box plug even fits in it! And I got this so my dogs couldn't unplug it and ain't no way their knocking that open or off 10/10!

I love these. I now have them pretty much in every single room that the kids have access to. They're not able to figure it out. The only issue of a run into is that they try to stand on it. And it's also become a platform for their toys However, I do appreciate the fact that they haven't been able to open it.I can look inside cause it's kind of opaque.So I can make sure that whatever's plugged in, there are still plugged in.And I like the thickness of it so that it could take thicker outlet plugins

This works good, I like that it locks on the side so it makes it harder for my baby to open. I use it for his sound machine and baby monitor camera- which works as intended. Just be aware the size of what you intend to plug in, if it's too long it might not fit inside.

Our 2 year old has tried but can't get in. Excellent space and works on most cords.

⸻ This isn’t just helpful for child safety. I have a parent with dementia who constantly fidgets with things. He’ll unplug items from the outlet, move them somewhere, and then we can’t find them. We originally bought a pair of these boxes to protect the chargers for their iPad and iPhone because my dad was always unplugging everything. More recently, we needed a lighting solution for their room at night since he kept removing the nightlights. We bought this box and placed the nightlight inside it. The frosted front is amazing — it softens the brightness so the room isn’t too bright, but still provides enough light for them to see safely when they get up at night. I can see this being a great solution not only for adults with dementia, but also for individuals with special needs.

This lock box to protect electric plugs is the perfect solution to my problem of two family members with cognitive issues, where one of them was regularly unplugging the telephone / TV modem. When I could not reach them by phone (he cannot manage a mobile phone, he can only have a landline), it was a frightening, stressful situation. Were they injured, unconscious, in trouble? I came across this solution here at Amazon. It is the EASIEST contraption to install. I did it in 2 minutes with a screwdriver. The phone and TV are now safe, and my peace of mind restored. I put the little key nearby, but I also tested the lock with a simple paper clip and it worked easily to open the lock. The tiny keyhole is so unobtrusive you hardly know it’s there. The modem has been safe and untouched since installation. So, not just for young children or pets but for any individual of any age with cognitive or dementia issues. Highly, highly recommend.

This product far exceeded my expectations. I am over the moon happy to convey that my kiddos are safe from accidents. Trust me, they’ve tried and failed. It’s perfect. I WILL be ordering more in the future. Highly recommend, worth every penny, easy to install🥰

It was easy to install as it comes with two different wall plates so you can match your type of outlet. Once it is installed, it works perfectly to prevent the little one from trying to open. Keep in mind that this is to prevent them from touching the plug area. They can still grabbed the wires below.
