Great lift. Way better than the other more popular ones.
First of all, the lift came well packaged. Assembly was not difficult at all. I followed the step-by-step video, and it was easy and straightforward. The lift itself is heavy-duty. I've only had it for one day, but I am not concerned about durability. It is made of heavy-duty steel parts welded together and powder-coated. There is not a lot that can go wrong here. I've tried other more popular brands, like the green one and the other "rolling jack" one. I did not like both and ended up selling them on marketplace. They were taking up too much space in my small garage, and neither could handle the additional weight of my rooftop rack and traction boards. The green one would wobble and I did not trust it. The "rolling jack" one could not lift my top because of the extra weight. This lift handles everything like a breeze. It is very sturdy. Once the top is on, it is not going anywhere. I feel like I could sit on top (I'm 170lbs), and it would still hold everything very well. I also like how it folds when it is not being used, and I could easily store it in the garage. I highly recommend this lift. If you haven't tried the others, skip them. If you have the others and are not happy with them, get this one.

Get this one!
Extremely sturdy - works like a charm. I had a friend put it together for me, since I'm not mechanically inclined. He had no issues at all and even commented that it was easy to put together because all the holes lined up well and everything went together with no issues. The crank was easy to move, the directions were clear, and it makes it simple for me to take the top off and put it back on by myself if no one else is home. Very pleased with this purchase! My friend, who has a hoist in his garage, even said he might buy one of these himself because it was so easy and convenient to use. Shout out to the guy on the Jeep Wrangler Forum that said this one was the best and sturdiest of the three primary choices. I was looking at the two others as well, but I'm very pleased with this item.

Makes removing that hard top a breeze!
This is a must have for Bronco hard top owners. This thing works like a charm. I had put off taking off the back part because it was difficult to remove and store. This changed everything. The lift slides right under the top and cranks the top up and out of the way. I’m able to park under it (backed in or pulled in forward) which means it doesn’t occupy a spot in the garage. It’s not cheap, but it’s very sturdy, extremely easy to use, and will save a ton of time removing the hard top.

Quality piece of gear
Bought this for hardtop removal on 2025 Bronco. It does work well for solo removal and even if you do have help, it’s nice because you can indeed park under it in the garage and it keeps you from having to rest the top on the floor. I have not tried other ones, but I did a lot of research on ceiling mounts and other portable options like this and chose this because it looks the sturdiest and is foldable for storage when not in use. I have been pleased on both counts. First, this thing is heavy. It arrived in 2 very heavy boxes and the reason is clear. Very high strength solid steel construction throughout. They probably overengineered the weight capacity but that’s fine by me. Highly unlikely for any of the steel pieces to bend or break. Putting this thing together is probably the biggest negative I would say. Plan to allocate an afternoon. It took me a solid 4 hours. Granted, I was completely solo and I’m not a super handy person, but it’s an involved process. Had to use the included instructions, the official video and a 3rd party video. Relying on just one of those would not have worked. Subtle design changes meant there were certain steps where only one of the instructions made sense and it was not always the same source. If you don’t have a powered socket wrench, now is the time to borrow one or invest in your own. It saves a significant amount of time. Final gripe is packaging of the bolts and washers etc. Even cheap Chinese products separate out the bolts in bags labeled with letters, etc. Not so here. There are several types and lengths of bolts, lock pins and so on and they are all chucked together in one bag. And it wasn’t just me getting a returned product or something. They have an actual-size parts page in the instruction manual, and the video indicates you hold the part up to the page to make sure you have the right one for that step. Ugh! Once you do get a feel for the lengths, you start to recognize the correct sizes, but still…. The good news is once you put it together, you are rewarded with a very quality product. It does work very well as advertised. You never feel like your very expensive vehicle top is going to fall over. The crank does make the lift pretty effortless, and the locking straps add extra security. Once you do it a couple of times, it really does take just a few minutes to get the top off. I also got thumbscrews for the bolts in the back so that saves even more time. The ability to fold it up into a small footprint for long term storage is a huge plus. Altogether, I am pleased with the product and recommend it. Just bring your patience and maybe some Tylenol for the assembly.

Watch the video, you’ll be happy
This thing is awesome. If I had any advice for people thinking about this, it would be to ignore the printed instructions. They have a scannable code that sends you to an assembly Instructional video. Use that. It isn’t really complicated, and goes together fairly quickly. It’s sturdy and well built. 10/10.

Easy to use!
This EZ4x4 Lift is a fantastic product! I am 66 years old and can use this by myself to lift the top off of my 2019 Jeep Wrangler! It takes some time to put together but is fairly easy!

Worth Every Penny
It can't be overstated how great this thing is! First, if you ever removed the Unlimited hardtop with sheer strength and force of will, well loving to tell the tale is a feat in and of itself. But the time and little effort when using the lift is worth every penny. It comes off and goes on in no time flat, it's super easy to use, storage is great, it's built solid, and I don't break a sweat. Great product, and loads better than other similar designs out there.

Not perfect for Bronco owners
Overall, this is a very solid built item. But, and I think this really just applies to Bronco owners, the stability could be better. The Jeep hard top is larger so my guess is that it would be more stable as the weight of the top would be more evenly split. But for the Bronco top, the rig becomes back heavy so if you are trying to role it over, say like a crack in your concrete, you need to be super careful. Assembly, wow. I don’t complain much as I get this sort of item needs some extra time to put together and I also get for storage and shipping reasons it benefits them to get it as small as possible fit into smaller boxes. But they could have pre assembles a few sections and still had it in a reasonable sized box. Every single piece of going to require you to add, adjust, something. And with so many pieces they could have used sticker to label each piece but instead you have a crappy picture. I worry to over time with so many bolts they will come loose and need a be checked regularly. It works for the main purpose I need, easier removal of the top and storage what I can pull the bronco under. But if you are looking for something you can wheel around your garage/driveway easy or not super handy and don’t want a big assembly, I’d look at something else.
